For this light, can it be plugged into a standard plug-in just in case we decide to use it inside a hotel for a meeting or something?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, it comes with a standard 15amp wall plug so you can plug it into a wall without the need for DMX signal. It is a very loud fixture, however, as their are fans to keep it cool so it may not be the best for a small boardroom setting. But it is exceptionally bright.

Yes. That is how we currently use ours. You can also daisy chain multiple lights if you need to be converting the plug from an edison plug to a powercon plug.

Does it offer power line dimming?

BEST ANSWER: To my knowledge, no. It self dims, but you can put it into a dimmer pack and run that channel at 100% and then patch the actual instrument into a different channel.

Have any of you had issues with the lights flickering? My lights are flickering and nothing I've done has fixed it.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your interest in this stage light. The ballast to the LED can be sensitive as it is not rated to use with dimming. Please be sure your power from the venue is constant and above 100V.
If the problem persists with correct power you may have a defective unit, please login to your Monoprice.com account. From there on the left hand side, under my account, you can go under request refund/replacement and from there you can process setting up and obtaining your replacement item. I hope this helps. Can you put a cookie in this unit? (cucalouris/gobo/cutout/pattern) It didn't look like there was a slot for it as in regular Lekos.

How loud are the fans? I have some other RGB LEDs from Monoprice and the fan noise is kind of loud. Our light truss is only about 16' above the floor where people sit.

BEST ANSWER: These are surprisingly quiet. I have 4 on a truss at 16’ adds less than 2db standing directly below using a SpL meter.

Better than expected, very bright, clean light!
The only drawback is some slight rainbow fringing on the edges of the spot, but with care, you can overcome this.

ellipsoidal 19 degree
bright enough light to lite up a singer at 50ft
only the front is plastic, rear housing is all metal, very quite fan
But these lites are either Refurbished or B stock Returns
not very clean for a brand new unit
mine came with the front plastic lens with finger prints and something sticky on it. this should be a glass lens
Nothing in the manual shows how to install gobo holder,
found slot but the screws that hold the sliding cover were both Stripped
only the front is plastic, rear housing is all metal, very quite fan

Had some issues, but the price makes them very minor.
I think theyre great. To the first widely considered concern: this was a permanent install, not touring, so plastic housings arent an issue. The housings are actually pretty robust, but they are still plastic. To the second: every 5 and 10 degree lens in every theatre uses plastic lenses, so plastic lenses arent an issue.
I had two issues. 1: they are MUCH bigger than, say, an ETC 750w 19degree Leko. Like almost twice as long and almost twice the diameter. That being said, again it wasnt an issue for us, I just wasnt expecting that.
2: we bought 26, and 2 of them had issues. One was DOA, and the other had dmx issues that caused all fixtures down stream to go haywire. We had to replace them. A 10% failure rate is not good. But, I almost expect that with a bargain basement price and no-name brand. So again, I weigh value, hence only one star down.

Decent elipsoidal
This is a decent, inexpensive ellipsoidal. We have these side by side with some fixtures that cost 3-4x. The difference is clear. The light quality is much better from the other fixtures. This fixture is more cheaply constructed. However, that said, they do the job for a fraction of the price. If budget permits, buy better, but if not, they will do.

Great fixture for Not a name brand
Based off price, this fixture works great for what I wanted
It puts out great White light. Brighter than 575 and almost as bright as a 750w conventional.
