BEST ANSWER: This is a semi hollow body guitar. It arrived several weeks ago. I own over 20 guitars all of which are American Fenders, Gibsons Gretch and PRS. It is a very good value with good action and intonation. The frets needed to be polished and the tuning pegs needed tightening , the posts that hold the bridge in place needed some glue as they were loose. Once I made all the adjustments it became a fairly decent playable guitar probably worth twice the price. Don't expect this to be as good as a Gibson ES 335 which would cost 10 times as much.

I recently bought one. They would be considered Semi-Hollow since there is support for the neck running through the body of the guitar. I have several guitars and this guitar is really a great value.

Because it feels heavier in the rear than I anticipated I expect it is NOT fully hollow. I think there is a solid beam going right down the middle inside. It might be the hardware however but I don't remember my Gibson ES330 being that rear heavy but that was many years ago.

If you read the Monoprice description of this guitar, you'll see that it is a real "hollowbody guitar. Of course, it needs to have some internal blocking and bracing to make it sturdy, and this guitar has that.

Stage Right by Monoprice 15-Watt 1x12 Guitar Combo Tube Amp with Celestion Speaker and Spring Reverb
This thing has great tone through every amp I've played it through. Only problem is the first two frets are placed wrong, so it also always sounds out of tune. This was true of the first one I got - I sent it back - it's less true of the second one, but still true enough to keep me from gigging with it. Disappointed. Other Indios were so much better.

Any tube amp. I recommend the small model from Monoprice which only costs about $100. Even a small solid state practice amp is fine if you run it clean with a pedal to modify the sound output.

Ha - let me know how it goes when you put them on. Did you upgrade the nut too? I must say this is a better guitar than I expected for the price, and I've been tempted to do a full set of upgrades. I was looking at Hipshot and Gotoh locking tuners. I know there are cheaper ones than even those but if I'm spending money to upgrade I want it to really be an upgrade.

Great value guitar.
This is my second Indio guitar. Hard to beat the value, especially when there is a big sale or coupon savings. Sounds much better amped than not. Certainly not as good as my PRS and a little heavier than I like, but very playable.
Nice addition to my guitar/uke collection.

Buy one!
Purchased this from Monoprice during a sale, with an existing markdown and free shipping. This is my 3rd off shore guitar of varying brands, so my expectations were low. This guitar sounds great, plays well. The actions was high, and two of the higher frets were sharp, and needed filing. That's it. Holds tune as well as anything else I have. The original strings are good quality. When I change strings, I'll polish the frets and treat the fretboard. Looks and plays like a much more expensive piece

Delighted with my red Boardwalk guitar
In this price range, I thought I could count on some concerns/problems with the instrument. I was wrong. Guitar looks and sounds nice. It was shipped promptly and arrived quicker than expected. It was set up with good intonation with string height pretty much on the money. Nice job Monoprice Luthier!

Boardwalk Semihollow
Very happy with this guitar. It is absolutely beautiful for a start. There are things and sounds that you can make with a hollow, or in this case semi that can't be done on a solid body. The action is nice and low and it's extremely playable. On the downside there is either something wrong with one of the pots/capacitors, or it's wired incorrectly. I have several other duel HB guitars with this arrangement, so I know. Bottom line I can get the sounds I wan't (these knobs wired strangely LOL) so NBD, don't use on stage, etc. I like it so much otherwise, I kept it. The nut appears to be plastic, and the tuners seem cheap but work. I will still give it a 4 despite wiring problems.

I was disappointed
I will say, this guitar is OK, its not a quality guitar, but its a decent guitar. I had some scratchy sounds coming from the guitar while plugged into the amp. The neck was decent, worth the 250.00 price.... HOWEVER, the static from being plugged into the amp got worse over the last few days. I contacted MONO PRICE, they sent me a return authorization number.. HOWEVER>>>>> I PAID THE RETURN TO CALIFORNIA.. COST ME 96.00... WOW, Anyway, I have purchsed alot of stuff from this company. Had some issues but they always took care of it.. Now, INDIO has me pay return shipping charges and a RESTOCK FEE.... BUYERS BEWARE, I AM NOT JOKING HERE... Im done with this company,
