A review?
I was debating between this & 5135 (a one-piece adapter). I didn't like 5135 as it seemed like it would stick out of the back of the PC quite a bit & I was worried that it may 'weigh' on the port (possibly breaking it) & I didn't like that. Thus I got this, however this has a male connector & can't use a standard VGA cable. Thus I had to use another adapter (stacked adapters, uh-oh) a F:F adapter (1191). It worked right away at the BIOS screen on a Dell Optiplex 7010 so I am happy. Dell wanted like I thought 40-50 bucks for a friggin adapter, no thanks

I am using this to drive a 23" display from my laptop computer. It worked the first time without any problems. I am able to drive the 23" display at the recommended resolution.

Good price, fast shipping, and a working product. I bought one to try and will be getting about 3 dozen more for adding dual monitors to new PC's.
PROS: It worked! The DisplayPort connector has a nice clip to secure it in place.
CONS: VGA connector is very light which makes it seem "inexpensive" - not sure I care at the moment... but I will be monitoring durability - though I can't imagine any problems. Cable is just slightly larger than a Cat 5/6 and slightly stiff. Monitor needs to be put in place and then cable run to PC to avoid odd bends.
