what can i say... it just works. awesome price. there isn't much else to say. i'm using it on my retina macbook pro 13 and 2017 microsoft surface pro to drive my 27" dell 4k monitor. no problems on either.

Works great with my MacBook Pro and 4K Dell P2715Q. No complaints at all. Never again, HDMI.

I was looking for this on many sites, it ranged from a high or 35$ to around 15... come here and it is under 10 dollars.. very nice. Got my order quickly, double nice.

Allows me to use an old iMac as an external monitor for my Mac Pro.

I use this cable to connect my newish Retina MacBook Pro to an older (2009) 27" iMac to use the iMac as an external display. Works great. Plugs in to the Thunderbolt port on the MBP and the MiniDisplay Port on the iMac. Then perfection.



The ONLY flaw I can possibly find in this cable is that there is no icon to denote the "top" of the connector. This means that connecting it is sometime a trial and error process. But other than that, it's an inexpensive and functional cable. It

PROS: Inexpensive. Functional. Extremely Cable-y.

CONS: There is no icon printed on the cable so determining "up" can be a trial and error process. This isn't a big deal if you pull it in and forget it, but I use it with a laptop and connect and disconnect it often.

Found quickly the cable I was looking for. Received it in a couple of business days.

PROS: Easy, fast.

CONS: None.

PROS: Worked great for connecting a few PCs and MacBook Pro to my 27" 2009 iMac which support target display mode. Remember folks, a Thunderbolt cable is not the same as a Mini DisplayPort cable. The newer iMacs only support Thunderbolt cables for Target Display mode and the 2009/2010 iMac only support Mini-DisplayPort.

I would recommend this cable for any video need you have

PROS: Great cable (as all monoprice cables are)

CONS: will not function as a thunderbolt cable to connect a mac to a dock but perfect other than that

I purchased this mini-displayport cable to connect my two iMacs together to use Target Display Mode. After receiving it and connecting it, I found that the iMacs could not detect each other. I notified Monoprice right away and they created an RMA for me and exchanged my cable. Since it took a while for a new cable to arrive, I purchased an Apple branded cable in the mean-time and it works flawlessly even if it did cost 4x as much. I've recently had a chance to try out the new cable that Monoprice recently sent to me and unfortunately it also doesn't work. They may need to go back to the drawing board on designing this particular cable. Monoprice has always been my go to store for cables but I suppose when it comes to an "active" cable like what Apple uses, Monoprice isn't able to come through. I certainly appreciate their attempt at resolving my problem and will continue to buy from them, just not any more cables for my Apple products.

PROS: The cable was cheap.

CONS: It doesn't matter how cheap the cable is if it doesn't work...twice.

This cable worked great for 10 months then went bad. I just ordered another one to see if it was just a defect in the first cable. Since the price is so low, I'm still giving this cable a good rating. If the second one goes bad I'll give it a bad rating.
