    Excellent bracket for the money
This is a very nice, heavy-duty mounting bracket. I am using it to support a second monitor at my desk. What is very cool is that the desk mount plate can easily be unscrewed, converting this into a wall mount bracket. That is actually how I mounted it, and it is rock solid. The attached monitor stays at just the right height, and I can easily swivel it back and forth and adjust the height if necessary. I am very impressed with this product, especially for the reasonable price.

Not exactly what you might think
I read another review where someone said it will scratch up your desk. This is true as the 'pipe' has a knob to tighten the post for the height adjustment. That also locks the pipe where it is. The end of the mount (where the vesa bracket mounts) is what swivels, NOT the pipe. I Had bought this to swing the monitor closer for gaming. That's not as easy now as I had hoped but I did come up with a fix. The knob on the pipe, if unscrewed will drop the monitor so remember that if you happen to want to adjust it. I found a height I'm good with, my plan is to take the pipe appart and put a shim inside so the pipe only goes down as far as I want (this sets the minimum height). That will allow me to lightly tihghten the knob to allow for swinging the mount. Otherwise with the knob tight the entire mount can twist on the desk. I had taken nice painters masking tape and taped the underside of the mount in order to avoid the scratches. I'm happy with it, but it does ever so slightly tilt under the weight of this monitor, unnoticable if the monitor is swung out twords me, but totally noticable when 'back' againt the wall.

PROS: It's pretty solid and easy to put together.

CONS: Didn't swivel the way I thought it would. With the 14lb 27 inch Monoprice monitor it tilts slightly.

Just what I was looking for
I ordered this for my desk at work to push the monitor back from the stand it was sitting on and give me more room for my keyboard and mouse. Now I'm able to put notes and other paperwork in front of me and still be able to work freely with the keyboard and mouse.

Quality of construction is good, no issues with packaging or defects. Assembles quickly and adjusts easily. Just what I was looking for.

    Solidly build product.
I'm using this mount to hold up a 27" monitor, and it works great. Perhaps Monoprice changed the included hardware a bit, but mine came with washer and lock washers to use with the tilt adjustment knobs. And, with those washers in place, the tilt holds position just fine.

    PROS: - Cheap
    - Solidly Built
    - Easy to setup

CONS: - Minimum thickness for clamp is more than most cheap desks. I used a piece of 1x4 to increase thickness.
    - No pan adjustment. My monitor is level. But, some pan adjustment would be nice to tune out any manufacturing differences, such as crooked VESA mounting holes.

Worked great for mounting a TV in my popup camper.
I bought this with intention of mounting a flat panel TV inside my popup camper. I ended up attaching a pipe flange to the counter top so I could screw a 3/4 pipe into the flange (when I setup the camper). The top half of this desk mount then slides over the pipe. The fit is perfectly snug and it looks really cool! Using the 3/4 inch pipe allows me to elevate the TV and it feels more sturdy that way.

I haven't taken any pics yet, but I found a pic that should explain the pipe flange setup.

    Holds up iMac just fine
I attached this mount to an Ikea Bekant sit & stand desk to hold up an iMac 5k. I've had this attached to my desk holding up this computer (~22 lbs) for about 10 days now and I've had no issues at all. I don't really move the arm a whole lot but I used this particular mount due to the location for the computer. The only real issue I had with the mount was that the adjustment minimum was not enough for this desk, so I had to find a piece of wood to place underneath the desk where the mount was attaching so that the mount could secure. With that in place I had no problem. To be fair, I ordered this before I had the desk and once the desk arrived I realized it wouldn't fit, so it wasn't a result of poor advertisement. The minimum was as indicated.

I did have a few issues when I first installed it with a little sagging, but I put in a little more elbow grease into tightening all the nuts and that worked out just fine. I have no sag or complaints at this time.

    PROS: Works as intended.

CONS: Didn't adjust to a smaller desk.

    Great Unit
worth every penny, wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

PROS: does exactly what it said it will
    great price
    solidly built

CONS: The ONLY hang up is that the monitors are always free to rotate... works great for our designers to rotate the monitor when working on projects needing it, but there is no way to lock it in if you never rotate your monitor. A detent or some other means to lock it vertical or horizontal would be good.

Great for smaller monitors, not good for a 30" Dell
I used this to mount up a 23" Dell widescreen monitor in a portrait orientation. It works great for that, but I did have to use a shim as my desk was just a little too thin for the mounting clamp. I wanted to also mount my Dell 30" monitor with a weight of 25 lbs. but the mount definitely did not feel stable at all with that much weight and torque on it. I suggest you be sure you have a very thick and solid surface to mount to, and that your monitor be 20lbs or less.

PROS: Easy setup, quality built. Works great for smaller/lighter monitors.

CONS: No way I'm comfortable that this will support my 30" Dell monitor even though it's only 25 lbs and well within the weight limit stated on the product.

Cheap Monitor Arm, does the job.
I bought 3 of these, 2 for home, one for the office because my boss wouldn't buy me my own mount and my desk is super cluttered. As I said above they install easy. All 3 had all the right mounting hardware (not like Ikea where a washer or bolt may be missing from time to time) which was easy to attach to the VESA mounts on my monitors. I used the mount on a 20" at work, and 2 (different), 24" monitors at home.

One of the monitors at home had a curved back so I used the spacers and longer screws on that one which worked really nicely.

I'm a little OCD so having my 2 monitors at home match up nicely is a must. When I first setup the mounts the monitors were low in the center and high on the sides. There's no easy way to make slight adjustments with this monitor (it doesn't pivot from portrait to landscape), so you have to loosen the screws on the back and try to make small adjustments that way. All in all a minor hindrance.

The lack of Pivot threw me off. One of the reasons I wanted a mount was so I could rotate my monitor 90deg to use my work computer in portrait mode. While you can mount the mointor that way, you can's switch without removing the plate and re-mounting it. Oh well.

If anyone is thinking of getting one of these mounts for use with the Monoprice 24" (12252), think again, the 100mm VESA plate covers the power/VGA ports on this monitor, so buyer beware.

    PROS: Easy to install.

    Solid feel, heavy.

CONS: OCD kicks in when the monitor tilts ever so slightly, not easily leveled out

Oh, it doesn't Pivot (landscape Portrait), for some reason I had it in my head that it would.

For tall people an extra vertical inch maybe needed

    Good with room for improvement
This is a nice, inexpensive mount. The arm sags when you have it extended fully, but in that scenario you can use the tilt adjustment to compensate. However, if you don't want the monitor out the full distance from the edge of the desk the support ends up off center, the arm sags and your screen is no longer level. Since there is no rotation adjustment you can't correct for that. It would be nice if the VESA mount was 2 plates that you could align to compensate for the sag, even expanded mounting holes might work (I'd worry that would slip over time though). I ended up shimming the desk clamp on the top of the desk, but that's not ideal.

    PROS: Inexpensive

    Solid construction

CONS: No adjustment to compensate for sagging arm
