Can each cable be separated from each other?

BEST ANSWER: In short yes. There is a small loop of rubber holding the factory split point stable. This could easily be cut and the two cables should cleanly pull apart.

Yes the wires can be separated, and have a thin moveable sleeve on either end to keep it from separating on its own.

yes if you cut or slide the holders that are connecting them just below the connectors. they are easily cut or slid.

I see the cable is shielded. In wondering if each channel of the internal wiring is also shielded FROM EACH OTHER?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, they are. The physical shield material may vary, but the overall construction/matrix is similar. The inner and out are shielded from one another.

each cable is independently shielded, if that's what you're asking... like, you can peel them apart and run them separately if you want to

RCA speaker cables
I use these cables for connecting two subwoofers in my living room music setup. As usual, these perform very well. I have been purchasing Monoprice cables for several years now, and they have never been anything but very high performance. I will continue to use Monoprice as my source of speaker-connecting cables without hesitation.

Good quality for the price, inconsistent connector tolerances.
The tolerances on the connectors were inconsistent (one was too tight, three were too loose) but it wasn't too hard to adjust them. Otherwise these seem like good quality cables for the price. They're quite stiff so if you need RCA cables for tight spaces these might not be for you.

inconsistent quality
the cables as such look fine but the connectors are very inconsistent - some fit very loosely and some extremely tight on the same RCA terminal. Definitely cheap connectors. They are cheap though

a major upgrade in sound
Whet form a smaller unshielded line to Mono RCA plug. tit truly improved the signal to my sub in my home theater setup. Glad I bought these.

I used this 10' cable from my AVR to the phono preamplifer, and also a 3' length to replace the low quality cable connected to a 1970's vintage turntable. I had a humming issue that is now gone using these cables. Very happy with that.
As stated in other reviews, these cables are somewhat stiff, hence the one star off. Plan accordingly for your application.

SERIOUS cable
Don't confuse this with any lightweight audio cable of this type. When my son threw the package to me when it arrived, I thought I was sent the wrong thing. NOPE. This thing is heavy and sturdy/beefy. It may not give us a huge boost in audio clarity, but I'm thinking this is as good as it gets for those of us without digital connectors.
