Can I use this cable for a desktop computer?

on Apr 12, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can. It's your standard plugin for most electronics in the USA. 10A should be more than enough for any typical computer.

BEST ANSWER: Because the cable is rated for up to 10A, it will work for your equipment that has ratings between 1A and 5.5A. It is uncertain whether it will be adequate for equipment that specifies only the voltage but no the current; you should see if a current rating is given in the manual for that equipment, or ask the manufacturer.

Just dissect the info. The cable is capable of delivering up to 125v, which is typical fluctuation in a 120v system. The cable can deliver up to 10A which is enough for your items. All 120V and 240V services run at 50-60hz. That is the cycle of the analog current. This cable will work for your needs.

What matters the most is the amp rating. If you are not sure get the highest rating for amp ex. 10A that way you're sure the cable won't overheat. It's never a problem to use cable with a bigger amp rating than you need the other way around can turn into a fire hazard.

Need a power cord for my Kef home theater subwoofer. The back panel on the sub says 100-115V/220-240V
50/60Hz 150W. Will this cord hold up?

BEST ANSWER: This cord is more than sufficient to handle that power draw. This is rated for up to 1250W, so your 150W is fine.
I do not have the device, so I cannot confirm that this is the correct plug end, but this is a standard cord similar to those used by home computers and many other components, so odds are it will work.

I don't see why it wouldn't. If you're worried about it, buy a heavier gauge power cable. I've been using mine for an audio application with no problem.

The power cord that came with my HSU subwoofer looks like this one except it's a two prong and the end that plugs into the subwoofer doesn't have the center hole. I need to replace it and am having trouble locating the same one; can I use this 3 prong instead?
