No, this is not what you're looking for. Type C connectors have 18 pins. This cable would work for the other type of Android devices. You're in luck because 1) I answered this question so you don't buy this 2) I accidentally bought a few Type C connectors from Monoprice so I know they have them!

USB Type C and Micro USB are not the same. So you cannot use this directly with Samsung Note 8. You may however, buy USB Type C to Micro USB adapters (Male Type C to female Micro USB) for a couple of dollars and use this cable.

No it is not the same as a Type C connector. The micro only goes in one way, whereas a Type C connector goes in either way. This will not work on the Note 8.

No, you can not use this cable alone to charge an iPhone 6. iPhone 6 uses a lightning connector for charging. This cable does not have a lightning connector. It has a micro USB connector. You need a lightning cable, such as Monoprice Product ID 27402 to charge your iPhone 6.

I believe that's an original Samsung brand cable. In my opinion, most USB A to Micro USB cable works just fine. Monoprice brand is excellent & affordably priced.

BEST ANSWER: Both ends of this cable are USB. This cable should be able to charge your playstation controller. The larger end, the USB A end, will plug into the PS4. The smaller end, the USB micro B end, will plug into your controller.

This means it should be able to support up to 3A, depending on the charger being used. I am using it with a 9W power adapter (5V @ 1.8 A) for a Kindle with no problems.

What is the size of the base on the micro USB end? I have an Ultimate Ears speaker that has a micro USB port that is situated in a way that only certain cables can be inserted. If the base holding the connector is too wide they won't go in.

Great cable, does the job!

Good cables overall
As with most Monoprice products these are good cables. The price is great. I only removed a star because they don't work with my Samsung Galaxy S7. Other non-Samsung cables have worked before so I'm not sure why these don't.
