The photos look different between the 6 and 10 foot cables. I need 10 foot but they look much cheaper with silver connections on the xlr end. The 6 foot is all black and gold. Can you confirm that the 2 sizes are indeed made differently?

BEST ANSWER: Hi,
The ones with the gold connectors are the Monoprice “Premier” line and the one with the silver connectors are their regular line. The “Premier” line is a tad more expensive, we use Monoprice interconnects in our studio and never had a problem with their cables. Hope this helps.

That picture is just over-exposed for some reason. I've ordered these many times over the years and have always gotten the same construction at all lengths.

Is the XLR pass-through stereo? I'd like to create a 2.1 setup without a receiver or a pre/pro by connecting this subwoofer's XLR input to my LG CX 77 television's 3.5mm headphone output via an XLR-to-TRS cable into TRS-to-3.5mm adapter, then connect this subwoofer's XLR output to an M2100X to power a pair of THX-465T speakers. (I can upgrade that system later by adding a pre/pro, more amps, and more speakers.) Would this work?

BEST ANSWER: No that doesnt work. The XLR only daisy chains the LFE from one sub to another.

Can you provide the TRS to XLR pin connections available in these cables? Tip wired to which XLR pin, Ring wired to which XLR pin, Sleeve wired to which XLR pin?

Decent cable
So far the cables have worked as designed. Build quality seems to be good but we have just put them into operation so long term durability are unknown.

I got these to connect an audio interface to powered studio monitors. They have lower noise than the TS cables I was previously using. The cables and terminals seem sturdy enough but since they're immobile, I'm not really testing their ability to withstand repeated abuse.

Excellent TRS to XLR cables
Cables are perfect length for connecting the Focusrite interface to Rokit 5 monitor speakers in my home studio.

Not exactly 6 feet
Not as advertised. The cable measures shorter than 6 feet but it works. I also ordered 16 each 1.5 foot cables but they also showed up short and had to return them with a little trouble.

Worked great for my studio monitors
I just needed these cables so I could run a pair of 1/4? output jacks from a Focusrite Safire Pro 14 audio recording interface to a pair of Yamaha studio monitors using the XLR inputs on them.
(Technically, I could have used balanced 1/4? cables on both ends since the Yamaha monitors have those jacks too. But it just seemed less likely to ever get the cables mixed up with other instrument cables this way.)
Anyway - no complaints. These work as advertised and the price was fair. Prompt shipping too.

Just what I needed for headphone amp.
This cable is well built and perfect for my monitor feed from the AUX send from the mixer to the Headphone amp that I use for my IEM. Like all Mopnoprice cables, they are sturdy, and a great value for the money.
