Can the sliding mechanism be adjusted after the TV is mounted?

BEST ANSWER: Before tightening the mount clamps, the TV can be moved roughly 1 to 2 inches right or left from center. In addition, prior to mounting the TV, the articulating arm backet that hangs on the wall mount, it's hardware can be removed and the bracket can be moved several inches left or right from center. Once positioned, you would reinstall the hardware to secure the bracket to the wall mount. Then hang the TV.

If you mean to change the whole mechanism mounted on the back plate then because it does not slide but you can mount the mechanism not centered on the back plate but it is screwed into bolt holds about an inch at a time. If you mean can you move the TV from left to right or vice versa you can just by pushing the TV. There is a limit, of course.

From the YouTube Video and looking at my current installation, it appears that the sliding mechanism cannot be adjusted with the TV mounted. I believe that the 4 screws have to be removed in order for the slider to be adjusted.

I've purchased the very large, articulated TV mount (P/N 44486). My TV's VESA pattern is 3 inches higher than the vertical midpoint of my TV. Because I have a large TV, I'll be using the included TV brackets in my installation. When I attach those brackets to my TV, should I vertically center them by the VESA area or the TV's vertical midpoint?

Can the sliding mechanism be adjusted after the tv is mounted?

BEST ANSWER: You can pull it straight out and/or side to side and swivel it from left to right after mounting. If you want to adjust the mount after attaching to wall, no adjustment available to the wall mount portion; however, you can adjust the slides on the back of the TV from left to right or to right to left as long as you are careful due to the TV's weight.

Sold, well made.
Extremely solid and holds my 85" TV perfectly. I went bigger on the mount for a 100" upgrade down the road.

Excellent Mount!
This is a heavy mountain, so you need a solid mounting point. It does everything it advertises. I brought my tv out flush with bookshelves, and I like the way it looks. It also makes hook up of surround and changes super easy, due to accessibility. I highly recommend this product!

Solid
Bad: The packaging was not strong enough to support the weight of the mount, which caused the box to break open on both and the mount to become scratched.
Great: The mount is solid as a rock and buttery smooth. It has a ton of flexibility that allows me to move the viewing angle wherever I need.
I'm 100% happy with it.

Heavy Duty XL Full Motion Articulating Wall Mount for Television by Monoprice Commercial Series
Gets the job done. The mount itself leaves certain portions of the ports inaccessible - be that by completely or partially covering portions of the ports.
Our mount was missing some of the spacers, so we had to make a run to the hardware store and attempt to find items that would work. We would have used the items from the previous mount, but it was going into a different section of the house for a different tv so we couldn't take from that.
it is very sturdy. it gets the job done for the size of television it is holding up on the wall. it feels secure and should last through whatever comes next!
