is it clearly labeled 10000mah so it will be acceptable for air travel?
A shopper

BEST ANSWER: Hi, thank you for your inquiry. This should be acceptable for air travel since it clearly labeled as 10,000mAh at the back of the power bank. However, power banks cannot be checked in, they must stay in your carry-on bag. I hope this helps.

It is printed on the back if you have a magnifying glass or your magnifier on your phone. It doesn't help that the writing is dark gray color making it harder to see but it is there.

Yes it is labeled as 10000 mah. It is small print, and very light, but it is labeled

The power button lets you turn the battery output off, or check the charge level without plugging it into a device. I really haven’t found that it’s needed, but it is there.

I have charged a Samsung phone and tablet with this power bank. It only used about 50% for each device. You may want to consider the 20000mAh model if you don't want to wait for the power bank to recharge. You may come up a little short if you want to charge multiple devices.

BEST ANSWER: It is auto sensing (20W output max, on 5, 9 or 12V). Do a search on the Qualcomm QC 3.0 protocol.

Voltage is not selectable, all outputs are 5 volts DC. The speed is dictated by the device's ability to accept the charge and the USB type.

Will the battery pack continue to charge a phone once the phone reaches full charge and then starts to discharge it's battery again or do I need to unplug and re-plug the battery pack?
A shopper
on Feb 18, 2026
BEST ANSWER: Thank you or your inquiry. This unit will automatically stop charging your phone when it reaches 100%. You don’t need to unplug and replug it. Later, if your phone uses battery and drops below full, the power bank will start charging it again automatically. Unplugging is optional and only saves a little power from the bank.

10K Power Bank
I saw this one on sale and needed to upgrade my older Monoprice power bank (which still worked great after 5+ years). It's smooth and sleek with a cool LCD digital display. Perfect travel companion or just hanging out by the pool.

OK, but
I had some difficulties with this device. I initially tried to charge it with Google High-Rate Charger via the USB-C I/O port. It would not charge at all. Then I tried charging it via the micro USB port. It appeared to accept a charge but at a very low rate (approximately 50 mA). Then I charged it with a 2.1 A 5V charger vie the USB-C port. It then charged fine at a rate of about 0.9 to 0.5 A. It took several hours to charge but that's OK. It must have some kind of handshake with the high-rate chargers that disables charging. Would be really nice to be able to charge it faster.. I do like the display. I am unsure about the function of the on/off switch. It appears to accept a charge or provide a charge regardless of whether I switch it on or off.

good but only 20W charging max
it's an okay charger but one thing I should have looked at more closely is the fact that it only charges to a max 20W, even when using one port. Which isn't enough to charge anything larger than a smartphone. I guess that explains the lower price.
otherwise so far so good. it's relatively lightweight, I like that it has a display and 3 different USB outputs.

Compact 10,000mAh
Like the compactness of the charger. Power button is hard to find since it is all black. Cannot store a full charge for long and discharges on its own, without charging devices, faster than other power banks I've had. Not sure if this is normal.

Power Bank
Charges just a good as using the typical wall charger. The % of power is useful to help determine if you have enough power left to accomplish your charge. Used just over 50% to charge a S21 FE.

Response from Monoprice
I'm delighted to hear that the Monoprice Ultra-Compact 10,000 mAh Power Bank has been working well for you! It's great to know that it charges as effectively as a typical wall charger and that the power percentage display is useful for you. The fact that it used just over 50% to charge a S21 FE speaks volumes about its efficiency. Your positive review is much appreciated and will certainly be helpful to other customers. Thank you for sharing!

Mostly meets my needs
Pro:
* Supports charge-through; This pack can charge itself and power a device at the same time. NOTE: if trying to use this as a UPS, the output turns off momentarily (guessing half a second) when external power is added or removed (true for both micro-usb and usb-c charging inputs)
* Powers my phone while playing games all day (6 hours)
* Slim thickness fits in your pocket or bag easily
Con:
* Minimum turn-on current seems to be 0.10-0.15A. It will not turn on when I use a small "bookmark" light. You can turn it on by plugging in something larger first (like a phone) then switching to the light, but that's inconvenient.
* Because of the minimum turn-on current, after my phone reaches 100%, the battery pack turns off. So then I need to unplug and replug the phone to keep the charter going.
* No way to check pack charge % without plugging it into either a phone or a charger.
Note that the turn-off current is lower than the turn-on current (hysteresis), so my small bookmark light won't activate the pack, but happily keeps it running (tested for 3 hours)

Light Weight
I was looking for a lightweight power bank for backpacking. This was perfect for the application! With the 2 short cables (Monoprice brand also) I'm at 6.5 ounces!

Made a great gift; very compact and lightweight.
A small fraction of the size of my older 10,000 mah model.
