Will this cable work with CalDigit 4TB docking station to HP display (I am using MB Air M2 and Mac Mini M2)?

BEST ANSWER: If your docking station is Displayport (DP) and your display is HDMI - then it will work.

I am using these cables to connect DP video out from Nvidia graphics to the Monoprice HDMI switch which is connected to a samsung monitor though the HDMI interface on the monitor. I bought these cables after having mixed luck with oddly named brands available from a major on-line retailer. I had issues with audio not being passed to the monitor with the oddly named cables but these monoprice cables have fixed the issue.

So yes they work with DP output to HDMI display input. But they also correctly pass audio from source to display.

I have a KVM with HDMI ports and a Dell docking station for my lapotop with DP ports. I used HDMI cables and bought HDMI-DP adapters on another site ("Warrky 4K DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter Cable, (2K 60Hz, 1080p 120Hz) Uni-Directional Display Port to HDMI Monitor Converter Compatible for HP, Dell, GPU, AMD, NVIDIA, More. Male to Female. Passive"). It works fine 99% of the time, but for every hour or so the monitors attached to my KVM blink off for a second or two. No data is lost (if it happens during a Zoom I still hear sound on the speakers attached to the KVM and they can still see my on the webcam attached to the KVM). Is it the adapters that don't work and this cable would solve it?
