Do they come with a cord so they can be pluged in if wireless is not available?
A shopper
on Aug 28, 2022
They do not come with a cord, but they do have an 1/8 inch input, so if you provide your own chord they can be plugged in.

The one I bought did not although they are readily available. I think you should buy the one with case, a charging cable and a mini RCA cord for non-blutooth listening.

Can my husband use these to watch TV?
A shopper
on Aug 31, 2022
BEST ANSWER: if you have a roku (that supports the remote app) and a smartphone, you can look into downloading the free roku app. it turns your phone into a remote, and also has a "private listening" mode that allows you to listen to the tv solely through any headphones that are connected to your smartphone.
if you don't have a roku, or have one that doesn't support the app, i would look into the brand of the tv and the model number. the tv manual provided to you should be available online, and it will make note if it supports any bluetooth features. please note, however, that bluetooth audio may have some slight delay, depending on how far away you are sitting from from the television set.

If your TV has an option to use an external bluetooth headset or speaker, it should. Our family has had more than a few sets of these and find them to be a quality product that performs as advertised.

Are the headband reinforced with aluminum or is it only plastic?
A shopper
on Dec 15, 2022
BEST ANSWER: It feels like it has a piece of spring steel in the headband. The only problem I have with this headset is that it tends to be too tight. I regularly leave it overnight stretched across the top of my AT full tower case (8-inches) and it still hasn't loosened up.

The picture shows what appears to be a 1/8" jack at the bottom of one side, but there's no mention of it in the manual or specs. Is this a 1/8" jack, and if so is it for a microphone or for wired headphone use?
A shopper
on Mar 9, 2022
BEST ANSWER: Yes - you can use that jack with a cord and it works as stereo headphones. If you use a cord that has a tip, a ring, and a barrel at the headphone end and one that has a tip, two rings, and a barrel at the computer end, then that cord has a built-in microphone so you can use it for video calls.

I have an older model of these headphones. It says IIIP on them as well. The ear cups have failed and are flaking. I'm trying to find replacements. To lock mine on, you have to slightly twist them. Has anyone replaced their ear pads and if so, what did you purchase? I can't find any replacement item on Monoprice.

This is the first time that I've been disappointed with a Monoprice product in any way, but these headphones didn't provide the noise cancelling I expected. I bought the first pair for a long flight, but couldn't use them due to distortion and volume decrease when using the ANC. Monoprice graciously exchanged them for the pair I now have. This pair doesn't have the distortion or volume drop when ANC is switched on, but still doesn't provide adequate noise cancelling. In all other aspects, however, they are quite nice. The sound quality, comfort, and overall "feel" surpass expectations for such an inexpensive set of headphones.

Good value for the price but some concerns
I have three concerns about BT-250ANC Headphones. Number one: Recharging time has been over 5 hours as compared to 2-3 hour battery charging time stated in specs, Number two: Bass seems to be a little too deep which has me increasing volume to compensate for deep bass and Number three: While laying down listening to headphones they become a little uncomfortable and have to be readjusted. occasionally. But as I have stated it is still a good value for the price.

Inexpensive and work well with some caveats
Good value -- quite inexpensive. For what you pay you get
* decent sound
* decent user interface
* bluetooth works without issue
* decent battery life
* comfortable enough
But the caveats are
* noise cancelling doesn't do much
* maximum volume isn't very loud (this is probably ok, though, right?)
Would definitely recommend these headphones as a bargain bluetooth headset

Decent Sound But Unsatisfactory Build Quality
The sound quality was good overall, but it broke in the spot where the extender exits the main part of the headband. I understand that it may not be built to take a ton of abuse but it needs to last longer than 8 months of pretty gentle use.

nice for the price
I really liked my old SonicSolace headphones from Monoprice and it is hard to find similar sets for less than $30. These were a great price at $20 but not as good as the SonicSolace ones. The LED is very small and dim and hard to see. All of the controls are on the right ear side and their locations are not very intuitive. Overall, they feel like fragile plastic. On the plus side, they are very light and they fold. The charging port is USB C and that is an improvement over my older pair.
Sound quality is fairly good but the ANC somehow seems to lower the volume of the music.

Worth it for the price
I liked the previous pair that I had bought from you several years ago. These aren't as sturdy or comfortable. When I'm on the phone people say it sounds very windy even when the car windows are closed. My original pair also came with a case which is probably an option with another model but still handy to have.

Response from Monoprice
Thanks for taking the time to review the Monoprice Headphones. We appreciate your feedback, and we're glad to hear that you're enjoying the headphones overall.
We understand that the headphones are not as sturdy or comfortable as the previous models. We're working on improving the build quality and comfort of our headphones in future models. We hope you'll give us another chance to impress you in the future.

Love 'em
I have used these on an airplane (world of difference in noise cancellation) and the flight was more than pleasant. I use them also when mowing the lawn and while they don't completely cancel the noise (I don't think anything could) they do a reasonable job and I don't have to crank up the volume on my source (essentially my phone using SXM radio) to enjoy the tunes.
I'm sure there are others of this type out there, but they probably cost twice as much or more, but don't deliver "significant" improved quality
While others have had issues with the ear pads dissolving away, I think there are practical hobby shop solutions (make your own out of spongy type material) that can solve that problem and keep on using them.
If it comes to that (or Monoprice doesn't start providing replacement pads) just remember that the pad fix doesn't have to look good as long as they still sound good.
