This mount is adequate. Does the job with a 42-inch TV, though I wish the joint tension could be adjusted, because it's loose in areas (pivot rotates too easily). Additionally, the plastic coverings, which are meant to hide the cables, are flimsy and easily fall off the mount. We chose to not use them. Price was good, but I probably won't buy another one of these.

The mount is sturdy other than the piece that connects the tv to the arm. You can't get the knob that tightens the the tv to stay level tight enough to keep it level. Every time you move the tv it has to be leveled again. The cable management plastic also does not clip together well. Anytime that's moved it falls apart. I've ordered multiple wall mounts from Monoprice. All have been top notch for the price other than this one.
