Looking at the instruction manual, it does seem that the armrests are removable.

I bought this chair while the quality is good for the price the headrest is digging into my back and shoulders. I adjusted the headrest up as high as it will go. Is there a way to adjust the entire back upwards so it lines up better? Based on the description is seems like the back is adjustable. I am 6' tall but the back was made for a much shorter person. Is there a way to move the backrest up so the headrest does not hit my back and shoulders despite the headrest being all the way up?

BEST ANSWER: There are 4 bolts that attach the back to an L bracket (which attaches to the seat). I have not tried to loosen them to see if the back is adjustable, but it's worth a try...

I have the same issue - if you're taller than 6', don't plan on using the headrest.

How do I recline the chair back and adjust the seat angle? None of the adjusters seem to do anything to adjust the seat angle or back angle.

BEST ANSWER: The larger knob on the right; pulling it outward to the right will allow you to recline the chair, then you can push it inward to the left to lock it into position. The rotating knob underneath the chair adjusts the amount of tension on the recline mechanism.

What is the warranty? I need chairs for my office but I need to know what happens if one breaks. What is an armrest cracks? What if a caster breaks off? What if the hydraulic raising and lowering mechanism loses its charge? Can I get these parts replaced?

Easy to assemble; headrest too low.
Easy enough to assemble. I'm 5'7" and I'll agree that the headrest is too low, even adjusted to its maximum height. I'll probably remove it, as it digs into my shoulders. Could be fixed by redesigning the headrest with the same attachment.

Good Quality for the price
It's a comfortable chair for me 5' 9". I used rubberized grip-handle of my Channel-locks to press in the castors with scrap piece of 2" x 4" under it (I assembled it upside down, set ontop of a tall bar-stool,) I had to cut, scrape and file the inside of the slots to allow enough clearance to pop in the last plastic cover for the bolts attaching the headrest. With the chair totally reclined, the "headrest" cradles my neck perfectly. That's the only time that I'd use it anyway.

Comfortable if you are not too tall
My only complaint about this chair is that the head rest does not go up high enough for me (I am 184cm tall). Otherwise it is comfortable and sturdy.

Was okay until the lumbar support snapped, conveniently right after my warranty ended. Bottom seat not breathable at all.

Solid Chair
I like this chair. It's firm but comfortable for me. I don't use the headrest and I don't think you really could unless you are probably 5'6 or under. I am 6' and even at the top setting it would press into my shoulders if I sat up straight. Not an issue for me since I don't really use a headrest anyway. The chair overall is sturdy and feels like it will last.

Headrest is too low
Headrest is too low at max setting and digs into my shoulders. I'm 5'7". The seat still causes me tailbone soreness and pain and the arm rests don't go up high enough. To be fair, the Dexley chair from staples also hurts my butt. It must be me.
