BEST ANSWER: The wheels do not lock and will continuously roll. Overall, it's a very nice wagon and a good value. However, I do wish the wheels could be locked when needed.

Continuously roll, I believe. I store it on its side and it works just fine. The handle has a tab that locks in and works very well to hold the handle in.

I haven't found a way to lock them other than using external items. I will probably end up finding a way to hang on the wall to avoid this issue.

Is this aluminum frame lightweight?

BEST ANSWER: It is heavier than I expected, but it is sturdy. I thought all metal was steel. I've used it at the beach a couple of times. In the sugar sand at Destin it drags a bit, but better than carrying all of the gear. On hard surfaces, it is very easy to manage. I particularly like the fact that it folds up into a compact shape.

The specs listed in the description indicate it weighs 21.8 lbs ( 9.9 kg). I'd call that very lightweight. Also note the maximum weight capacity is 175 lbs ( 79.4 kg), so it's a strong but lightweight wagon.

BEST ANSWER: I would not use this for children. The front Wheels are rather close together and movement inside the wagon could cause tipping.. It's great for hauling none moving objects though.

We have never tried to sit any of the kids in the wagon. However as long as you don't exceed the recommenced weight capacity it should be fine. FYI - the wagon has a cloth bottom.

Yes but there are no safety straps or belts. My two toddler grand daughters fit inside easily and the sides are high enough so that they cannot easily fall out.

BEST ANSWER: The wheels are plastic. They roll great and the steering handle design makes it very easy to corner. The rest of the framework of the cart is metal including the steering handle. The bed of the cart is a type of thick, durable canvas. It’s very sturdy and I use it to save trips unloading groceries to the 5th floor. It works great at the beach too! I’d buy it again- I think that’s probably the highest compliment you can give a product. Hope that helps!

Does the floor have a stiffener (aluminum? PVC?) or is the floor just a layer of fabric like the walls?

BEST ANSWER: Floor is the same material as the rest of the cart, allowing it to fold up. This cart folds to a pretty small package. You could easily add a temp. floor of cardboard or plywood. Just remove it when storing.

A good wagon.
Sturdy with wide wheels that work well on unpaved surfaces like dirt and sand. We have hauled weights of 100 + pounds of children, groceries and picnic supplies during one year of weekly use. The ONLY downside is that it is heavier than most collapsable wagons

Nice strong wagon but.......
Wagon is well constructed and opens and folds up well. It is heavier than I expected. It rolls well but be careful making sharp turns too fast or it could tip over.

Wished I had known about Monoprice beforehand!
This cart is an upgrade from a similar cart I bought on Amazon - only difference was the size and quality of the wheels! I feel invincible with this cart! The wheels are so big and strong that I have no worries that I will transport my goods from A to B. Another thing that is different/better is the handle. I'm 6'1 and pulling this cart does not strain my body. The handle is at a comfortable length - the Amazon cart handle was too short. This cart can be a bit bulky to store but it does its job!

Poorly constructed and falsely advertised
When I bought this it said it was aluminum, and when I got it you could tell it was not. We used it one time to carry my daughters equipment from car and it worked. Second time handle was broken. The tires aren't going to last long and slip when pulling it on an incline. I repaired it, but now I am scared to use it since not sure when it will fall apart. So it's sitting in my shop...

Great so far!
Love it so far. We used once for hauling gear to a "movie in the park". It handled great stuffed with gear over grass, gravel and concrete. Fully loaded it felt really stable. One thing I didn't realize is how big the tires are. They're great for offroading, but I'm giving it 4 stars as the wheels are plastic vs rubber. I'm not sure they'll hold up well for long use on concrete.

Works great at the grocery store
I live in a neighborhood where most people walk to the grocery. This cart is the cat's meow for that trip. The big wheels handle the rough sidewalks and curbs quite nicely. The front wheel design makes negotiating the aisles easy. I've had several people come up to me and ask where to get one. And then buy it. Right there.
I like this much better than the less heavy duty competitors. But I pull a pretty heavy load.
