I highly recommend. Pros: Power, aesthetics/looks, Price to Performance, warmth and blend ability. Cons: fuzzy sounding with detail but not overly detailed bass, large for a 10' sub, auto pause function is terrible, no output via RCA Y splitter.

This is a great value subwoofer with very good sound. The cabinet is beautiful as I prefer a more modern look, as opposed to a wood grain cabinet. Connections on the back are plentiful. Couldn't have been happier on Black Friday, Cyber Monday weekend. You will hear this subwoofer when located in other rooms. Adds that warm bass to a 2.1 system if you blend the sound and use an equalizer. A great buy for someone willing to take the time to optimize for a balanced overall sound.

Great product for the price. No problems with the auto on/off feature. Good bottom for smaller rooms. I totally recommend it.

The sound is good when music is playing through the rest of the system. The problem is there is always a very low level hum coming from the subwoofer.

A beautiful subwoofer that really delivers, a great sonic balance with my Monoprice tower and bookshelf speakers. The center channel speaker rounds out the surround sound system that I have built. I am also having the hum/squeal sound and auto on issues others have reported. When it finally does kick auto-on its a very loud thump. There is a noise emitted from the amplifier section when powered on that is audible in low volume sequences of video or audio.

When on the sound quality is decent overall, but I would choose a different model if i were purchasing today.

At the time this review was written there were 4 other reviews. 2 others reported the same problem so this may be widespread for this model.

JUST connected it to my setup yesterday and watched a couple movies. Oh, what a difference it made! Made me feel a little giddy! It really made the "theater setup" complete. HOWEVER, I am working through a couple things and if resolved I'll GLADLY bump this to 5 Stars! Working to figure out the Humming and Auto-on.

I didn’t have a sub for a long time after mine died. I bought a sound bar system so I could get a better sound. Because of Monoprice’s return policy I decided to buy a sub to see if It would sound better before I opened the box of the sound bar system. I’m glad I did. It sounds great with my surround system; TV shows,movie,and especially concerts.
So for me it’s been a five star experience for the money I spent that was under a $150.00. I’ve always had great luck with Monoprice in the past.

Overall sound quality is great, especially given the price/value.

The one downside is that I cannot get the Auto-On setting to work (I've tried adjusting settings on my receiver to no avail). It's not that big of an issue leaving it on all of the time, but would be nice to have this function working.
