are these Dolby Atmos speakers?
A shopper
on Jan 19, 2021
BEST ANSWER: No these are standard 5.1 speakers, meaning Left, Right, Center, Left Surround, Right Surround and Sub-woofer. If you want a Dolby Atmos speaker setup, you will need to find either fronts that have the upfiring speaker integrated on the top or put in ceiling speakers firing down (which is what I did with my home theater setup).

No. This is a standard 5 speaker, 1 subwoofer set up. Additional speakers may be purchased to achieve the 7+ speaker set-up required for Dolby Atmos.

Are the satellite speakers ceiling or wall mountable? Does the system come with mounting brackets, or are there any particular mounting brackets you'd recommend?

The speakers will accept a mounting bracket. I don't see why they can't be installed on a ceiling, may want to make sure you're on a stud to handle the weight. They do not come with brackets. I can't recommend any.

I have this system and am currently shopping for speaker stands to go along with it. Do you have a recommendation? I am debating between your Elements 28 inch stands and the adjustable height 5 lb. capacity stands.

BEST ANSWER: I have the same 5.1 system. I purchased the Adjustable Height 5 lb. stands and they have worked great. I have them extended to about 38" high and they are nice and stable. Would recommend them.

I would recommend adjustable stands, these speakers sound best at ear height.

what gauge speaker wire should I use?
A shopper
on Jul 20, 2023
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure what gauge it is, but I just used the speaker wire that's easy to find at hardware stores (here in Oakland, at least). But I don't think the gauge should make much of a difference to the operation/sound of the speakers, as long as it can consistently get the signal through.

I purchased a roll of adequate gauge speaker wire from a electronic store. Do not buy the thin wires.

Great surround-sound setup.
I wanted an upgrade to my two-homepod sound system for my home theater, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money. This set was the perfect choice, as I already had a Yamaha 5.1 amplifier that wasn't being used. The speakers sound very good, and the sense of surround is much better than the two-homepod setup. Action movies really shine, as I can hear things like helicopters, trains, bullets, etc. move all around me. I've also been playing vinyl through these with 5-channel stereo setting on my amp, and it really makes a difference in the listening experience. I am not an audiophile, and these sound much better than "good enough" to me. Plus, I got them on sale for $40 off the regular price, so I'm very happy. I highly recommend.

Love it!
I drove myself nuts doing new sound system research. Bottom line, can?t beat this price, and it sounds great. A very nice upgrade from my old sony 5.1 system. I powered it with a denon 5.2 receiver. I love the adjustable powered sub. It?s just powerful enough that I needed to dial it back just a touch. The center speaker isn?t huge, but its crystal clear vocals make the system a must have. I put it behind the tv facing out so it doesn?t block the bottom of the screen and it still sounds great. I didn?t care or understand what the reviews were saying about the amazing shipping packaging, but once it came, I got it, and loved it. So easy to set up. Product would be very difficult to damage during shipping.
Don?t get a sound bar, get this system.

Awesome Value
Purchased the HT-35 (espresso) system about 3 weeks ago. Paired it with a 65 inch Sony and a Denon AVR S540BT. Paid $229 for the HT-35 set.
There is no set of speakers on the market at this price that perform as well as these let alone any better. For that matter, I'm not sure that the difference in sound quality that more expensive speakers offer is really worth the additional money. Pound for pound dollar for dollar, the HT-35 system is tough beat.
My only issue, they area little larger than some compact speakers. Make sure that your speaker brackets (if used) will accommodate speakers a little heavier than most.
Even my wife, who is no audiophile by a long shot agreed these speakers sounded really good.
Try them. You will be very happy that you did.

Great sound at a great price
I replaced my 5.1 sound-bar with a 5.1 receiver and needed a set of 5.1 speakers, but I didnt want to spend a fortune. Purchased this set after seeing a lot of positive reviews online, and Im pleased to report that it blows my sound-bar out of the water.
