BEST ANSWER: You can buy them separately if you run out of them. That usually happens when you want to re purpose the case to hold a different item.
Depending on the size of the case there are one or multiple 'sheets' or layers of foam. The foam is divided into small (1 inch?) cubes that you rip off the sheet. The opening that the removal of the foam cubes creates will hold the item you want to pack. It's like creating a mold.

Its comes full of foam...its customizable for what you need. If you require more foam, its sold separately

The case comes prefilled will pull n pluck foam so you can cut out whatever shape you need.

Can the "Pure Outdoor" plaque on the lid be removed without damage so I can add a custom label?

Where can I get another piece of foam to divide the top layer from the top of the bottom layer I will have 2 layers of equipment? If I use the thin layer of solid foam off the bottom, then the bottom layer of instruments' will not be protected on the bottom of the case.

As Good as it Gets!
I'll stand these cases up against any of the industry competition out there. I own a bunch of these in various sizes and every single one will perform as well or better than Pelican, Anvil, etc. And of course, you can't beet the price!

Great. Bomb proof and good deal. Going to get more.
Tried a small size on sale to check the quality and I love it. Really solid. Such a low price vs the big names I'm going to get a bunch of these. Using it for telescope eyepieces and accessories. For future really want to be able to get spare foam after I screw up the pick and pull thing or change what I'm storing. Also would be fun if more colors were available in all the sizes so I can make a matched set.

Additional foam could be made available!
I like the box, seems to be sturdy and tough. The one thing that I would like to have available is an extra foam panel in between the two layers of foam instead of just a single 1/2 inch (appx.) thick piece on the bottom. My equipment does not need the entire depth to protect it. I utilized the two "thick" layers separately. The additional foam would be used to separate the different equipment and by using adhesive will give the ability to remove the top layer without having to remove the equipment in the top layer. I purchased additional 1/2 inch foam to facilitate this adaptation from another source.
Secondly I sent a message to Monoprice asking if I could purchase additional layers from them, with no response to date.
I do recommend in spite of these concerns.

Excellent quality - Excellent price
Much better than Har--r Fr--get boxes, very close in quality to Peli--n.
I just sit the guns in case, close lid, and let foam form to gun shape. It helps to put rag, etc. on guns to press down into foam.
Pluck and pick works great to insert deeper items.

I was looking at pelican, etc but came across these and I'm duly impressed. Everything feels sturdy and the block foam was super easy to use for my cameras. I got like 5 of these cases now and I feel that my gear is much safer than it was on the shelf!
