BEST ANSWER: I don't recall seeing any holes or slots on the back and I am away from home until the end of the month so I can't check.
In my case I mounted 2 of these hubs to the side of my pc tower with strips of Velcro. I can easily plug/unplug usb cords or remove the units if needed on my other pc.

There are no mounting holes. I bought two and mounted them on the side of a rack with industrial strength Velcro with no issues.

In absence of the actual specs, we can calculate a theoretical maximum and know that the actual performance will be at least slightly less. The power supply is 5A x 12V = 60W. The USB ports will be 5V, so neglecting conversion losses, we would have at most 60W / 5V = 12A total to divide among the ports. So 12A / 13 USB 3.0 ports = 0.9A maximum. If the last port is being used, and it really guarantees 2.4A as stated, that would leave a theoretical max for the other 13 ports of (12A - 2.4A) / 13 = 0.7A per port. (The actual numbers will at least be slightly less.)

Bought this to replace a smaller Anker hub. I can see the hub has power and is switched on as the power light is on. It is plugged into my PC but none of the components attached to the hub are working and none of the lights are on adjacent to the plugs that are populated. Is this thing DOA?

Have you set up the AC portion of this unit? It needs to be plugged into a receptacle. When properly set up, each of the LEDs adjacent to the usb ports will light up when a cable is inserted.

Yes, I can see the hub has power and is switched on as the power light is on. I can see power lights at both the power brick and on the USB hub. I have several things plugged in and see no lights next to those devices. I am using the same longer USB cable from the hub to my pc as I used for my other hub, so I know it's working.
Toggle the power switch a few times to see if that makes a difference. Double check your power source. Mine remains on all the time without an issue.

Does this device send power through the USB port back into the computer?
I have USB fans connected to my desktop tower, that keeps it cool inside the nook that it's sitting inside. (I don't want the computer to overheat.) On some motherboards, the USB ports have separate power lines, while others, like my new Asus motherboard, seems to share them. What's happening is that with my USB 2.0 powered hub connected, my fans keep spinning, even with my PC power off. If I unplug the USB hub, they shut off as expected.
Will this hub send power back through the USB port back to the connected PC like my old USB 2.0 hub does?

BEST ANSWER: No, with my Mac MacBook Pro, there is no way for the hub to send power back. Without being any kind of expert, I suspect that the action of the hub draws energy from the computer. All my peripherals heat up much more than I’d like.

Heavy Duty 13-Port USB 3.0 Hub, With AC Adapter
Heavy Duty 7-Port USB 3.0 Hub with 3 Charging Ports, With AC Adapter
BEST ANSWER: Neither the box, nor the device list the maximum output. The power brick that comes with it is rated for 5A at 12V, so that puts the absolute max at 60W, but surely it's below that.
There are seven USB 3.0 ports (0.9 amps) , and three USB 2.0 ports (0.5 amps). Those numbers give a total output of 5V *((7*0.9A) + (3*0.5A)) = 39W max, if it's following specifications.

Heavy Duty 13-Port USB 3.0 Hub, With AC Adapter Product # 35914.
I'm with the other guys how can you list this without completely defining the output specifications?
Knowing that it's USB 3.0 and not 3.1, I don't expect high currents on all ports.
But as another answer provider has it, Don't buy this if you expect power!
I would love to see the specifications for this!

I love it. Solid, Reliable, Great performance .. I use it all the time.
Very solid construction. It provides great performance for as many drives as I can throw at it ... typically 5 or 6 at a time. Having a power supply is absolutely required by me .. several "old style" HDDs (with the spinning magnetic brown stuff on plates) .. They need power, and this device provides it. Well worth the price.

Just what I needed!
Recently, I've been getting more hard drives for my laptop, and it just doesn't have enough USB slots for all of them. So, I figured I'd find myself a USB hub that could support all of them at once, and this most certainly delivered! It's already running 3 HDDs, and that's only the start. Worked as intended, would buy again.

Exactly what I needed
This hub completely solved my issues with my new Mac Stdio pro computer and monitor. For some reason, Apple took away the legacy USB ports on the monitor, and only have 2 on the computer.
They also seem to expect you will print via WIFI.
If you have older HD, CD/DVD players/recorders it is a necessity.
Thanks so much for having this hub for sale!

Works as expected. I wish it was easier to lay the unit horizontal, the cables aren't flexible enough making it difficult to lay the unit flat and horizontal to the monitor.
