BEST ANSWER: It should, it's just a dongle to pass a video signal from one physical connection to another. It shouldn't care what kind of monitor you have as long as it takes the right kind of input offered by the dongle.

I don't see why you would need a usb-c to display port adaptor to drive this monitor, as the monitor is powered and signal transported via USB. There does not appear to be an HDMI connection on the monitor.

Maybe it is implied, but does this adapter support USB C DisplayPort™ over Alt Mode? (Saw some articles saying the adapter needs to support it in addition to the input and output devices, but did not see any explicit statement in the product description or other questions/answers.)

BEST ANSWER: It’s implied since this is a USB-C to DP adapter. USB-C Alt Mode is the only way to transmit a DisplayPort signal over USB-C.

I don’t know what “Alt Mode” is. This adapter works flawlessly on my 2020 ASUS laptop. It never drops the signal.

at what Hz can it display 1920x1080?

BEST ANSWER: I believe it states 4K@60Hz. You can probably get 120hz or even 144hz out of this @ 1080p.

Tested on 2018 Mac Mini
Plug and play. Didn't have a 4K monitor handy but works on lesser monitors. The sturdy aluminum construction is appreciated. Made more sense to buy these than HDMI to DisplayPort adapters. Mac Mini was running macOS 10.14.2.
