Can I use these in a drop ceiling or do I need cl rated wires?

BEST ANSWER:I would use wire for behind wall use. The main thing about these is that they look cool. I would get a roll of 12 or 14 guage certified for in wall. Since speaker wire does not carry high current just about any kind will do.

These wires are not intended for In-wall/Ceiling use. In-wall use requires CL rated wires. As far as I have checked I have not found a CL rating on this product. Not only that but it looks to good to stick in a wall.
I really love these cables, they've always been solid for my home theater front three speakers. Quality is very nice, they look great, connectors are solid and the sound is excellent through them.
I purchase all my cables from Monoprice....great product, great price. I am using these to connect a new Emotiva amp to Pioneer bookshelf speakers....sound great.
