how many amp input does the unit require? 15A or 20A circuit?

BEST ANSWER: I'm running my Monolith 11x, Denon pre/pro, NVidia Shield, and a Blu-ray on a single dedicated 15A circuit (no additional outlets, lights, etc.) and I haven't had any issues.
20A would be better if it's an option just to give yourself some headroom, especially if it's not a dedicated circuit.

i have my 11x plus two 1200w sb-4000 subs and an Epson 5050ub projector as well as other smaller equipment all on the same circuit and have never tripped the 20A breaker with 12awg wire and maybe a 30ft run. the room is 16x18x8 so the volume is usually below 75db on the Denon avr.

I am not positive, but I think 15 amp is okay. However, I think I saw someone on Youtube recommending a 20 amp circuit. I haven't connected mine just yet, waiting for cables to arrive. I will be using a 20 amp circuit when that happens.

I believe only a 15 Amp circuit is required for the amp by itself. However, a 20 Amp circuit would be preferred for a little extra headroom.

Either works for this amp alone. Check you other components power usage on the circuit. If new wiring, go for 20A.

WATTS= VOLTS X AMPS SO 110V OUTLET POWER X 20 AMPS CAN DRIVE 2200 WATTS (CONTINUOUSLY)---15 AMP CIRCUIT CAN OUTPUT 15X110V 1650 WATTS --AMP IS 200X3 (600) + 100X8(800) SO THE AMP IS A 1400 WATT RMS EITHER WORKS 20AMP MUCH BETTER FOR HEADROOM

Hi all,
I’m getting a buzzing sound from my x11 amp any suggest on what’s going on?
I’m getting a buzzing sound from my x11 amp any suggest on what’s going on?
A shopper
on Jun 4, 2022
BEST ANSWER: If the buzzing is coming from the speakers while the unit is on, you likely have a ground loop issue. There are many possible things to try to correct ground loops; use of Google is your friend for that. Ground loops do not indicate that there is any problem with the amplifier, merely power/signal connections in your system. If the sound is coming directly from the unit and not the speakers, that would seem to be a problem with the amp and I’d reach out to Monoprice support. When the issue is resolved, I’m sure you’ll enjoy the sound of the system with this amp, as I have. Plenty of clean power. Cheers.

I have no buzzing sound from my Monoprice 11x amp. There may be some eletrical interference coming through your power source. If you don't have an power (Furman, Panamax) controlling the source, I'd recommend you get one. If you do have a power monitor, then the unit probably needs servicing.

FTC Full Bandwidth Output Power at 8 Ohms** 200 watts (3 channels) or 100 watts (8 channels) - this is what the specs say. So, I am reading this as either 3 channels driven or 8 channels driven, unless Monoprice can confirm if their specs are listed incorrectly.

Loud Humming & Buzzing
This 11 Channel Amp does its job, basically, but at an intolerable price. . . . . 1) When the Amp is on, it buzzes and hums loudly, clearly audible from my listening/viewing seat, It is more than an annoyance, as it interferes with dialogue during movies and during quiet moments in music. . . . . 2) The speaker and XLR Posts are designed poorly with regard to use of space and ease of installation (it's anything but easy). You will have to do work-arounds when you connect to your pre-Amp. Also, the banana plug mode on the posts does not hold all banana plugs tightly (I had to purchase almost a dozen new post connectors to make it work)

It's a quiet beast!
I bought this to power my 7.2.4 system Marantz AV7706 processor. 200 watts for the front stage makes such a big difference! Very quiet amp, powerful. Sound is amazing! Take the plunge and buy it. I've been running this amp for 6+months with no issues. Warning this this weighs about 100lbs.

Oh my goodness!!!!
I absolutely love this beast of an amplifier. I have a very strong Denon (X6700H) receiver, and I never thought I needed an amp, until I tried this one! The sound just jumps at you in such a different way that it?s really hard to explain. It took me a while to bring downstairs by myself because this thing is almost 100 pounds. I use a fan unit on top, but it rarely gets warm, but I had it already and decided to leverage it.

Outstanding amp
Great amp after about two weeks use. Paired with HTP-1 and an old two-channel Anthem to run home theater 7.3.6 system. Sounds great, runs cool, and trigger function works perfectly with HTP-1 to turn on and off simultaneously.
Very happy with the quality/price ratio and performance thus far.
