BEST ANSWER: Yes, there is a ground wire. You can see it in the picture, just above the WR wire and below the G / WG.

I'm having trouble inserting this wire into the modular plugs. Is there someone that has used this exact wire (https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=30662)? If so, which plug did you use. Thank you.

BEST ANSWER: Strip back the plastic sheath and remove the core by clipping it flush with where the plastic sheath ends. Use PID 15663 and it should work fine. I have done this hundreds of times without any issues. Get the punch down tool (PID 7043) so you get a clean cut on the wire.

Used Cat6 UTP Connector, product number CL0189 (CableCreation). It is tedious and difficult to connect Cat6, especially with my shakey hands.

I am installing this cable into a shielded patch panel. There is a ground connection in the patch panel. Should the outer foil be connected to the ground or the ground wire? Does it matter which one? Is there continuity between the outer shield and the ground wire or is the shield non-conductive?

Very Happy
Cable is great to work with, easy to make the ends etc. I used true cable ends and an amazon crimper. I have a CNC machine shop in my garage with multiple machine tools; milling machines and lathe and lots of sanders, drills, various heavy duty big electric motors running all the time and my DVR is in the garage, all my cables run out of the garage and across the front of the shop some of my runs are 200ft and there is zero interruption or interference on any of my 4k cameras.

Great cable
This cable is rigid, has a tough exterior and nice clean interior, all the things I look for in an ethernet cable. I use this cable for runs to my exterior security cameras and is under the floor of my house. I dont like going under there so this cable will be much longer lasting than the inferior stuff I have been using.
