How do you mount the tv to the stand?
A shopper
on Apr 22, 2021
BEST ANSWER: You assemble the cart which has parallel brackets runnings east to west. The vertical north and south brackets you see attach to the back of the TV first. You then lift the TV onto the parallel east to west brackets. The brackets for the back of the TV have a slight hook shape at the top which then rests on the top of the cart bracket. A screw at the bottom of the TV bracket is tightened to lock the TV into position once you are satisfied with its positioning.

If you look at the picture of the stand, the vertical parts on the left and right side bolt into the back of the TV (the hardware is included with the stand), just like a wall mount works. You bolt these pieces to the TV first, then they hook onto the stand. I have put together several of these stands and they are easy to assemble and I was ok putting a 50" TV on it by myself. A larger tv you will want a helper.

1. Remove the 2 vertical mounting brackets you see in the image by lifting them off
2. Attach the back of these brackets to the back of the TV (VESA size compliant) with 4 screws
3. Lift TV and hang the brackets back on the stand
Quite easy and quick!

Brackets are screwed into the back to the TV that hook onto the stand brackets. Make sure to note the min/max dimensions for the VERSA mount of the stand and that there are within the range of your TV's rear VERSA mount (mounting holes for the bolts).

I assume your TV has VESA compatible screw holes on the back. You take the screws included with the stand and use a screwdriver to connect the stand to the TV.

Ignoring the shelf and its corresponding upright sheet metal bracket completely, I measure as follows: In the max extended condition, top of mast measures right at 65" above floor. In fully retracted (down) position, top of mast measures 47.5" above floor. Exactly where your TV will sit relative to these measurements will depend on your TV. On our TV, a TCL 50" unit, the top edge of the TV is approximately 14" above the top of the aforementioned mast. Your mileage may vary.

It's very versatile. Rather than not answer because I didn't measure, I'll tell you it's a very wide range. Low is really low, and high is too high to get it through any doorway. I don't think most users would have any issue with this feature.

Are the casters removable?
Melissa V
on Oct 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The casters have a threaded post, so technically they can be removed with a wrench. But I don't know why you would want to do that, unless you are concerned with security. You could buy an $800 Premier Mounts stand without wheels, but that price tag is exactly why I'm happy with these units.
Since the wheels come pre-installed, I haven't removed them myself. Also important to note is that there are two heavy duty "L" brackets that connect the Left and right wheeled sections, to a piece of steel that's about the size of an 8" long 2"x4". If you remove the wheels, then I believe that the brackets will bottom out before the the sections where the wheels used to be are. It's only about a 1/4" or 1/8" piece of steel, but now you've turned a sturdy TV stand into something that will rock back and forth

One of the reviewers of this product on Monoprice shows how he/she added much larger wheels. So that options is open too you. I shove this unit with a 65" TV around on a "medium" depth carpet. I find the wheels are slightly too small (high rolling resistance). As my set is up at the top end of the height adjustment range, this makes the stand "tippy" . I'm just going to add a handle/strap that pulls the unit from about one foot off the floor. You really don't want to be using the TV itself as the "grab point".

Any suggestions for securely mounting a NUC to this cart? Not worried about theft, just want it to look tidy and not vibrate off as the cart is rolled around.
Arryn M
on Jun 4, 2020
BEST ANSWER: - Mounting a NUC should not be a problem at all.
The ‘media shelf bracket’ should be able to support that, depending upon the actual size of the NUC.
- If the unit is not able to fit on the bracket, there is sufficient place at the foot of the trolley, you can definitely use that space. You would just have to be a bit creative in securing the NUC there. I can recommend that use some bands or wires that goes around the unit & makes it more stable! (I have put the 4K-dvd player on the ‘media shelf bracket’ and kept the sound bar at the foot of the trolley. Everything moves securely twice in a day - morning & evening. I have to roll the setup slowly for about 10-12 feet & everything seems to be stable.)

This is secure either top or computer plate. The small unit does not move and if you want to you take it out then it's much easier than other ways to clamping down. BEST ANSWER: It might be possible. I can say for sure without doing it and it would be a pain. But, there are options of mountain holes lower than I chose. I think on that basis, you probably could even extend the bracket if you had the right hardware. Of course you wouldn't be able to have the computer surface underneath it. As it is I barely clear a 15 inch notebook sitting on that

Check your connections; use spacers if needed for your tv to get flush fit with mounting bracket
The screws that allow you to switch from portrait to landscape modes actually give you a little play, they are not strict, do that I was abke to use a level and then retighten the portrait/landscape adjustment screws to maintain a perfect level allignment, vertically and horizontally;
Had similar issues with mine, that worked for me. Good tv stand

I have a cart model 30361. We have a 72inch screen on it. This is a very nice cart. It is well made. The crank is very helpful. Our monitor weight about 100lb but I feel like this cart could handle much more than that. The one item that I thought we would never use is being able to turn the screen 90 degrees. We use that ALL the time. it makes the cart much easier to move room to room and to store. I have had other friends buy the same unit and they are very happy also. I would think you would be safe using this for the size screen you have.
Good Luck!

Staff,
Please offer a stand exactly like this #30361 but taller. Here, the need is for the center of the VESA mount to be 84 inches height from the floor, with a maximum base width of 45 inches. No top shelf or motor is needed. There are companies offering this size, but are too costly; Monoprice could sell one at half of what those others cost, and sell very many of the larger size. Can Monoprice offer a taller version, please ? Thank you.

Clearly, I can't speak for their product selection, or manufacturing. But, this unit could easily be refactored to accomodate your needs. I wanted a second shelf, myself to be able to mount a Ups or similar on it. It would be nice to move it around for a limited time without needing a cord. I will probably retrofit mine to do so. Indeed the prices for such rolling units go up very quickly, but I've found this model to be the highest quality for the price. As for your particular requirements, it sounds like a custom-built unit—which brings you back to a higher price. It's not really worth any company's time to manufacture a unit to one customer's (i.e. you) specifications.

New User U.,
There are a few companies that make the stand as I described with those taller dimensions & base width. As said, they are very costly, thus I wish Monoprice would make a taller version as Monoprice could likely offer it for $200 if the taller version is based off of the #30361. I'm not interested in a custom built stand, my needs reflect those other companies' specifications. If Monoprice can offer it (the taller stand is in the marketplace), I would buy it; I like all the Monoprice products I've bought.

I have a 75 inch tv with 600x400 versa mount and weighs 83 pounds.
Will this stand fit it?
Also how high would the mount go?

BEST ANSWER: This mount will not work with your TV. Not because of the weight, but because the maximum VESA mount only spans 400 x 400 - since yours has a VESA of 600 x 400, unless you have some kind of approved adapter. I believe you will need to choose another stand/cart, get an adapter, or a smaller tv. Those are the choices.

BEST ANSWER: There's a center locking screw inside (on the other side of the plate) that you'd have to loosen, right? My fear that it would slide/slip off the mount prevents me from even considering portrait.

What size are the wheels? I have read they are 2-inch wheels.. but what is the specifications for replacements? Are they 3/8th inch bolt? M10 metric? Want to go to 3-inch wheels for movement over thresholds and carpet.

BEST ANSWER: You will definitely want to upgrade the wheels to something larger, as these are not ideal for moving over thresholds or anything bumpy. We went to the hardware store and purchased 4" casters for all our carts. I do not remember the size, but they are the standard threaded.

Apparently, the casters are removable (read : HAVING BEEN INSTALLED OR NOT DURING ASSEMBLY, they can be either not installed or removed later). Based on how the casters are installed/linked to the base (maybe some kind of pin/jack-click-in-like system?), can I safely presume that I can REPLACE them with larger (3 or 4 inches diam. for instance) casters?

Outstanding product
I purchased this for my classroom. It holds the 55' flat screen TV very well. It's very strong, easy to set up, easy to adjust the monitor height and angle, and easy to roll around the classroom. I use the included shelf to hold my laptop so that I can see the presentations while teaching. I'm very pleased with this unit and would happily purchase it again.

Lives up to my expectations
This is a good solid unit that has thus far lived up to my expectations. Simple to put together, save one caveat. Make sure you check the casters on the base unit and make sure they are solidly attached and level. On mine I was in such a hurray to get it up that I failed to notice the casters were just barely attached to the base. This resulted in my having to adjust them after having added the heavy 55" TV to the stand.

Needs bigger wheels, but otherwise great.
The wheels are too tiny, but they're easy enough to replace as they're on threaded M10 stems. Once I got some larger wheels on it it was great.

Very Sturdy
I already had a 55in TV on a lighter weight stand similar to this one. I found the ability to move the set around a big convenience. I bought this heavier stand to hold my 65" set, which is much heavier than the 55 inch unit. Assembly was straight-forward with one very minor snag. The instructions show how to attach the "main post" to the rolling base, but the post-to-base paragraph makes no mention there is a front and back on the main post. You only find this out after you have installed the post, which attaches either way. Then you find out you're supposed to attach the crank facing backward, which requires you to make sure the easy-to-miss hole in the post is facing backward. This is a great stand and highly recommended!

Perfect, if you replace the wheels.
Just too short for what I wanted and the wheels just snagged on every surface change
Found these and it added at least 3".

Fantasic TV/monitor cart even at full price
I wanted a rotating TV mount to connect to PC for a pinball game. Did not want a tradional pinball table form.. wanted to pass a controller for couch play. Looked at wall mount but saw a cheaper TV cart on sale but then saw this one with rotation built in.
Everything about this is strong, well-built.. smooth. The wheels are low-profile and urethane. The spread in front is wide.. maybe 3 feet apart.. make it stable. Spread between wheels in back maybe half that.
Pretty easy assembly. Easier than wall-mounting.
Just went on sale maybe a week since I bought it.. but I am still happy. It is a steal at the sale price qnd a great deal at full price. If you have been thinking about getting one... THIS is what you have been waiting for. BUY IT NOW. shipping price was not insubstantial.. still worth it.
