What's the inside & outside diameter of the pole tube? I'm thinking of maybe using the stand for a different purpose.

BEST ANSWER: The stand is very similar to another stand sold as a PA speaker stand. I own both, and it seems the only difference is that the PA stand has a gas spring inside to allow lowering the large speakers without supporting their entire weight. The TV stand seems to only have a coil spring.

I measured mine, and the top tube (the extendable tube, that slides out of the lower tube to raise the height of the TV) measures 34.9 mm, for the outside diameter. I was unable to measure the inside diameter.

I’d have to go measure it, but it seems to be a standard speaker stand- modified to hold a TV mount. 1.5” maybe.

Can the pole be completely separated from the base? I'm looking to use this for DJ applications and I'd need to be able to take it down without having to unscrew the TV from the mount each time.

BEST ANSWER: I would say yes. It comes with everything that you need with a bare tv, to mount on the stand... Bolts, adapters, etc ..bit the stand is large. I use it for a karaoke setup, but i wouldn't really want it inside my house because the base is so large. Depending on where you're trying to mount it, if you want it on a wall, then i recommend getting a wall mount, but if you need a tv in the middle of a room, this works great.

It lists 72" max height, is that to the top of the pole or the top of the TV mounting bracket (which is higher than the pole)? What is the max height to the top of the pole? We are planning to attach something else besides a TV and need the height to the max height on the pole.

I see the height range is from 48"-72", but that doesn't describe the reference points for those measurements. Is that from the floor to the top of the support pole? From the floor to the top of the mounting bracket? From the floor to the center of the screen? Could you please be more specific on this point?

Great Portable Stand
I purchased this stand to use on our patio in the summers because it's easy to bring the stand and TV inside to store. I've found it sturdy and it seems to be a great value for my use case.
