BEST ANSWER: I would not without an approved conduit to run it through. It should be fine In some gray PVC with properly glued joints.

Use a conduit, don't just bury the cable. It should be ok as long as the terminating ends are in a dry location.

I wouldn't, you should get cable made to be buried and attach rca plugs to the ends

My subwoofer has 2 inputs and my AV receiver has 2 outputs. Do I need to run 2 cables or just one to the Sub?

BEST ANSWER: I have two subs. On my subs (Klipsch) I run one cable from each output on the AV receiver (Onkyo) to each of the subs. Check your install instructions for the sub to see what mode to set the sub in to function in this mode.

Depends on how your AV output is configured and what mode(s) your subs can be set to. I have two subs and two outputs on my AVR. I run one cable to each sub on my 7.2 system.

This is a 75 ohm SPDIF cable, used for a digital signal. You probably want a normal RCA cable, but I can't be sure without knowing your subwoofer and setup.

If your receiver has 2 sub outputs then it’s designed to run 2 separate subs - subs are 1 channel speakers so if you only have 1 sub then run 1 cable.

You should only have to run one. A lot of people run two subs in different locations which would account for the two outputs from the receiver.

Which is the better cable the Onix #21684 or this one #2684? Ineed 50ft in-wall rated subwoofer cable.

Monoprice 50ft High-quality Coaxial Audio/Video RCA CL2 Rated Cable - RG6/U 75ohm (for S/PDIF, Digital Coax, Subwoofer & Composite Video)
Monoprice Onix Series Digital Coaxial Audio/Video RCA Subwoofer CL2 Rated Cable, RG-6/U 75-ohm 50ft
BEST ANSWER: Hi there Cedric, I would say that these two cables are of comparable quality. I personally like the connectors on the Onix Series. They just have a better quality feel to me. Beyond that I would make my decision based on weather you want a braided shielding on the wire. The braided looks cool and should provide some minor protection from nicks. However the smooth cable will more than likely pull easier through a wall or conduit. Lastly there is price. When I ordered the Onix was actually the less expensive wire by much more. I don't think you can go wrong with either choice. Have a great day!

You state you need "inwall" cable so the CL2 rating is good for that. Wire is wire so the advantage of one over the other (perhaps a few cents in price) comes down to flexibility. #2684 appears to be a heavy plastic jacket that will not bend easily around corners nor behind components. #21684 appears to be called out as "flexible" even with its fabric-covered plastic jacket--but you'll still need a lot of room in the back for radius bends. If you are lacking in space behind components you may wish to add 90-degree RCA adaptors to your order (like the #7233). Cable impedance is irrelevant in this case.

I am trying to get this hooked on a wall plate, my wall plate needs a COAX cable standard input, will this work with my wall plate, as i see both ends have RCA connected to it, is that removable or fixed? Thanks.

BEST ANSWER: It is not removable workout essentially destroying the cable unless you plan to do some DIY work and soldering. I suggest you buy a coax cable with actual RG6 ends (ie. Cable TV type cable)

is this cable more flexible than the Onix cable 21682?

BEST ANSWER: Hi, I am not familiar with the Onix cable 21682 but I would say that the Monoprice cable I bought was pretty flexible and made it easy to run. I used it for a subwoofer across the room. I did not have any tight turns or bends but it was easy to work with.

Does the job
I had a speaker on one corner of the room and a subwoofer in the opposite corner, and I needed to get the signal to the subwoofer by running the cable the long way round the perimeter of the room out of view. It works as intended.

Dig cable review
Works as advertised. RG6 a little stiff but workable. Using it to send digital output from streamer/dac to another room.

Pleased with quality
The RCA jacks screw down for a secure connection. The jacket is not so thick to where it's inflexible. I ran it about 40' through some cord hiders no problem.

Pretty much exactly what I expected to get. Another user commented on the fact that it's not as snug a connection as it should be and I found this to be pretty much the case although it does stay calm stay connected pretty well. Just don't move the speaker's subwoofer or whatever you have it hooked up to around too much.
