BEST ANSWER: I have a HDMI (monitor) to USB-C port(computer) which is a single cable and has worked well. You are describing the reverse (HDMI port in computer and USB-C in monitor). If that is indeed your setup, i see no reason why a single cable as described shouldn't work

BEST ANSWER: If your phone has a USB-C port, then it will work. S7 will not work, as it require a MLH connector to function.

BEST ANSWER: HDMI version is 1.4. the version 3.1 is the USB-C portion, as the latest one is 3.1 and is actually capable of letting you output to 4k, but at 30fps.

BEST ANSWER: I don't believe so. This appears to be for an Android device (USB-C). I have one. It does work well on my phone. If you get the one with the Apple to HDMI it should work.

Good cable
I hate dongles and was really happy to find this to go from my MacbookPro to my monitor. I've always been happy with the price and quality of monoprice cables. The cable seems well-shielded and sturdy (i.e., the sheath is thick enough that I don't expect it to damage/fray). It transmits audio and video.

Much better than the brick
This cable gives you a better picture quality than that of the tri brick versions if you are just using it to facilitate the usb-c to hdmi conversion. Also this is less expensive. Works great!!

Awesome power delivery
Got a really nice power delivery. Monitor now recognizes the HDMI output which it couldn't do with cheaper cables from Amazon.
