Are these terminated in the standard US pin-out where 1 is ground, 2 is hot (+) and 3 is cold (-)?

BEST ANSWER: They are terminated that way in terms of color of wire insulation inside. The wiring is straight pin to pin, so pin 1 M goes to pin 1 F, etc. with no crossover. As long as your equipment looks for the same pin on both ends, it'll get there.

how thick is the cable in millimeters? (im looking for 4mm cables)

BEST ANSWER: Measured with my Starrett calipers, the Stage Right 16AWG XLR’s cable thickness measures about .300” or 7.62mm. The Stage Right STARQUAD 24AWG XLR’s cable thickness measures roughly .210” or 5.3mm.

They are larger than 4mm. They seem like standard mike cable.... a tiny bit larger than than "Mogami"

Great Cables
I replaced my unbalanced RCA cables with these, and the sound quality on my 2-channel stereo system immediately sounded better. I have used Monoprice speaker cables with excellent results, so it was no surprise that I had a similar result on this purchase.
