BEST ANSWER: You don't have to have one, but if you want to increase the acoustic baffling properties or in the event of insulation ingress, then yes, feel free to use one. I've gone both ways over the years according to customer preference, but most opt out.

With enclosures you'll get better bass response but if you don't need lots of bass you won't need it. The sound good as is for my taste.

BEST ANSWER: One of the pictures shows the feet that rotate and hold on the back side of ceiling material. I put 1/4" plywood behind the ceiling tile so the feet didn't sink into the tile. Works great.

Would sound from these bleed out the back to the floor above the ceiling?
Chris M
on Feb 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your interest in our speakers. Room bleed will occur with any in-wall speaker system. This phenomena is minimized with the Aria series speaker as they are lower power some of our other series. Be sure to apply necessary insulation between the speaker and the adjacent wall.

I assume your amp will support a 4Ω load. The Aria sub has 2 inputs, left & right. Both are 8Ω. The 4104 are also 8Ω. You can run 1x 4104 and one side of the sub in parallel, run the other 4104 to the other side of the Aria sub. Your amp will see a 4Ω load on each channel. Wiring speaker in series is generally a bad idea. The wiring is messy and lose a lot of power, this config will show as a 16Ω load to the amp cutting the power at least in half and then splitting that in half to the 2 speakers.
The satellite output from the sub will support up to an 8Ω load, the 3" satellites are 16Ω. The satellite load will not effect your amp so you get full power to the sub.
If you run the 4104 first they will see full range signal. If you run them from the satellite our of the sub they will only see 250Hz and above.

Easy to install and sound great!
Installed in my garage to replace 30 year old pioneer bookshelf speakers that were rattling. Installation was easy, the hardest part for me was running the wire without falling through the ceiling. Best garage tunes I?ve had!
