Is it code compliant to install CL3 wire behind wall for residential applications? Non-Plenum. Just curious as the local builders seem to always run CL3R but this stuff is cheaper than any of the CL3R I can find.

BEST ANSWER: Hello and thank you for your question. In general CL3 is perfectly fine to use in wall for residential use. I would recommend though if you have question regarding regulation to contact your local code enforcement.

How many strands does wire have and what is diameter?

Is this rated for outdoor/burial use? If not, can you recommend any? Looking for 1000 feet of 14 AWG for speakers outside.

BEST ANSWER: This is not rated for direct burial but you can run it in PVC conduit underground.

Good quality fast shipping

This seems to me to be very good quality wire. It's flexible and me and my daughter installed 8 exterior speakers around our house with it. I would recommend it to a friend and I would buy it again if I needed more. Shipping was speedy. Thanks for a great product and service.

Good for the price

ordered a 1000' to run through an attic for outdoor speakers. Works well. came in a nice bulk box that you can pull the wire out without tangling.

I would buy it again.

Different thicknesses

After my 2nd box of 1000' I got a couple boxes of 250' on sale and found they are a much thicker cable for some reason. Both are 14AWG on the box and cable itself, but the 250' is clearly thicker.
