BEST ANSWER: I believe you want the green light to be lit when it's "protecting"..........Used mine to connect 2 extension chords for my speakers in my garage and it lasted about 4 months and just stopped working. But it is only 4 bucks lol

Yes, the red and green lights illuminate accordingly. I live in an older home, so some receptacles are grounded and others are not. The protector reflects that correctly. Small size is perfect to throw in my computer bag.

Is it working if ground light is red and protection light is green?

BEST ANSWER: Yes!! The red light is proof of the ground is ok, to discharge the surge!! And the green light the protector has the sensor of surge activated and good condition to sense and drain to grounding system

The label on the surge protector says it is rated for 1800W. If your appliance is less than that then you should be OK.
