The power switch is next to where the cord comes in, the rectangle is cosmetic (maybe a place to put in other features on a different model using that housing).

It could if you were willing to put a couple of screws in the wall. You know the typical mount a clock has for hanging on the wall? It has two holes on the back somewhat similar to those.

In regards to wall mounting in the vertical orientation, would it need to be cord up or down? Staff: A picture on the back showing keyhole orientation would be useful for all surge protectors.

The surge protector can be mounted with the cord either up or down. Rather than having a tradition keyhole aperture, the aperture has the screw head opening in the center so that the cord can lay either direction.

Can this be wall mounted and in what orientations?
larryklaus l
on Dec 31, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it has the standard hole/slots at the back for wall mounting. It can be mounted either vertically or horizontally. The space for the screws, though, is relatively small. So, this would mount nicely drywall or plaster, with standard anchors, but it would be a bit trickier on a masonry wall, because the screw heads on some masonry anchor-type screws will be too large.

Are these UL rated?
Kenneth M

Has anyone tested this to see if the joule rating is accurate? I understand the surge protection industry is rife with false claims -- even with "reputable" brands. And, a higher price isn't telling.

Great power strip
It's perfect! I don't think I'll buy the junky ones ever again.
I like the layout and the profile seems thinner. My only two knocks are that I wish the light could be turned off and it's not very weighty so it can be hard to keep it from sliding a bit.

Very good Surge Protector.
This is almost perfect. The only thing missing is a right angle plug on the cord. It's a small thing, but it can make a big difference when using this in a place where the outlet does not have room for a straight plug.

Great surge protector
Works exactly how it should. I like the area for bigger plugs so it doesn't cover available plugs.

Bright light, bright light.
Warning, if this is for a PC in your bedroom, the LED is intense. Otherwise, works great. The outlet positioning is a big plus.

Could be better
Power-wise, I'm sure it's fine, I have no issues with that. However, the spacing between the two rows suck, if you're using an adapter shaped like an apple power adapter, with the flip out prongs, you'll lose a outlet. Secondly, don't buy this for your bedroom, the LEDs are too bright, with all the lights off this thing will make the room glow
