Will these ThinRun CAT6A cables support 10G? Is there any shielding? Has anyone tested to see how susceptible to interference they are?

BEST ANSWER: Yes they support 10G - they meet Cat6A standards. No they do not have shielding - they are UTP, not STP. Interference should be minimal, the Cat6A spec includes limits on amount of alien crosstalk.

I use many of these cables in 3ft, 7ft and 14ft lengths on large 10G Ethernet clusters. Never had a problem from these cables yet. I went to them because of the small cross section to improve airflow in dense cabinets.
I have run iperf tests that demonstrate line rate throughput and no packet loss.
Sending:
[SUM] 0.00-10.00 sec 11.6 GBytes 9925 Mbits/sec 0 sender
[SUM] 0.00-10.00 sec 11.5 GBytes 9880 Mbits/sec receiver
Receiving:
[SUM] 0.00-10.00 sec 11.1 GBytes 9535 Mbits/sec 0 sender
[SUM] 0.00-10.03 sec 11.1 GBytes 9494 Mbits/sec receiver

Will these ThinRun CAT6A cables support POE for a PTZ camera?

BEST ANSWER: Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry. This cable is not recommended for PoE due to the AWG being too slim for safety standards. 24AWG or thicker is recommend.

Somewhere there is someone laughing...
Decent cable gets the job done, holding up good after about 6 production events. Only issue is how they come packaged, they as well as the other sizes come "wrapped" together as bundles of 5 in one wrap with at least 4 zip ties holding the wrap together. Untangling the mess when you open the package is completely frustrating especially the 50' lengths. Someone is thinking to themselves in a factory in China...All I have to do is twist tie them all together and you're going to pay me? While knowing damn well some IT person somewhere else in the world would have to unfurl the ungodly mess cursing the whole time under their breath... Should be investigated as a war crime. Just my $ .07 cents ( adjusted for inflation)

These little cables are fantastic. I've been using them to connect Frequency Drives to PLCs in electrical enclosures. They have performed flawlessly and are so convenient and easy to route. The price is awesome as well.

High quality patch cables
Very solid cables, better than expected, much faster than crimping yourself, and a decent price. Recommended.

Packing leaves cables in a tangled mess - cables themselves are fine
Unlike most other cables from Mono price that come individually wrapped in plastic these come all tossed in a single bag. So a 10pk of 14ft cables ends up looking like a 140ft of tangled spaghetti. It's a real mess specifically if you only needed to grab 1 or 2 at a time out of the bag.
Cables themselves seem fine so far.
PROS: Slim
CONS: Come packaged in a bundled mess instead of individually wrapped
