BEST ANSWER: About 10", which is just right, since it eliminates a lot of extra wire to get out of the way. After all, it's only job is to provide the old style USB port (which used to be in the computer body) which the USB-C equiped laptop does not provide.
And, it works great. I use it to hook up and old USB mouse, keyboard and portable dvd drive, along with old USB flash drives on occasion.

The cable is about 9.5 inches/24 cm. The usb-c connector is in addition to this.

This is not a "usb c hub". Why are you claiming this? It is a usb 3 hub from a usb c connection.

It would be most accurate to say 'USB-C to 4 port USB-A hub' but they are correct : a peripheral should be classified by the port it plugs into. It plugs into a 'USB-C' port. So it's a USB-C hub.

This works as an adapter from usb c to older usb devices. It does provide power however cable length may become an issue.

Effective USB-C to (4) USB-A hub with one flaw...
Overall a nice looking USB-C high speed hub, currently using it for my MacBook setup. Cord length and design is good except for the actual USB-A ports which are a bit mis-sized.
Very hard to get plugs to fit in and it might get better with time but out of the box? The fit is very tight and feels like it is off.

Overall a good product that meets my needs
I like the look and use it to extend ports off the USB-C port on the back of my PC. I think for laptops that this would be a great extension for ports as well or moreso depending on the type of MB your tower PC uses. The one thing I was a little confused about was the lack of the power cable that is supposed to be used when a periphial draws more power than the USB-C port has. I am not sure if it was supposed to come with it but mine did not have it and now I have to search for one and purchase that seperate.

Works well, but my unit has a weird issue. When I plug a peripheral into the port closest to the cable, the whole hub experiences power issues and disables everything else plugged into it. My solution is just to not use that first port.
