what do i need to connect this speaker to in order for it to work? do you sell a machine that connects to the speaker that would allow me to play music through it wirelessly? (via bluetooth?) if so, what is the name of it & do you sell it? thanks in advance

great speakers, using 9 to cover a warehouse with music. best amp for this application a bogen drz 120. this amp has six channels, with connections for any type of music input, wireless ect. .
using fm tuner built in to amp, and sirus commercial tuner. the commercial sirus tuner includes bmi and ascap music license. please note this bogen amp uses 70volt ac lines from amp to speakers, three speakers on three zones. please remember 70 volt ac line voltage is dangerous if not handled properly.
I do recommend speakers, great price. take a look at pricing on the internet...no one comes close.

Yes, I bought their bluetooth receiver , the one I got was like 30$ since it was an opened return. You can buy for under 50 , search Bluetooth Receiver. This has to be connected to an amplifier, which amplifies the audio on the way to the speaker, of course.

(re: # 14890) would it be possible -- even with modification -- to use these hanging speakers in a traditional 8ohm speaker set-up (i.e.: as surrounds)? i'm not looking for premium sound, just fill-in...

Actually, all 70v/100v speakers are technically 4/8 ohm speakers with a transformer on them. So if you felt like voiding the warranty and opening them, all you have to do is remove/bypass the transformer. There ya go.

How many of these can be linked together? I understand that the 70v systems can have quite a few speakers in one line but what is the limit?

BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your interest in this speaker. As part of a 70V system the only limit to the number of speakers is soully dependent on the power of the amp. Max power you should run your amp is 80% of total power. With that in mind if you are using a 240W 70V amp and you used the minimum power tap of the pendant speaker, 7.5W, you could run 25 speakers (25x7.5=187.5W, 80% of 240=192W)

BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your interest in this pendant speaker. These speakers are an excellent choice for low volume background music. If you are looking for something with more musical presents I would recommend the 16220 BGM system. It can run as stereo 8Ω or mono 70V. The sub-woofer and 4 satellites cover a pretty large area with full range audio. All components include mounting hardware.

Is there a way to remove the grill to spray paint the speaker without getting paint on the speaker cone?
How? I have 6 of the speakers and I can't figure out how to remove the grill - I've looked internally and there are no screws visible. I've tried twisting & prying - any help here?

What is the angle of conical dispersion on these speakers? Could not find in manual and need to calculate audio coverage from the installation height.

I own a 2500 sq ft salon. No idea what I’m looking to buy for sound system but I do need hanging speakers bec we have exposed ceilings(15+ft high). What would be everything I would need to purchase to go with this speaker if I was looking to hang 3-4 pendant speakers? Sorry, I’m in the blind here. Greta price for a good product
Installed 4 of these in a 3000 sqft hair salon (7.5w 70V). Not looking to get the walls to shake just background music in a commercial setting. Very happy so far, will update if that changes

Great Speakers
We installed these at one of our newer store locations. They look and sound great for commercial speakers.
We were able to easily mount them to the i-beam clamp / loops with no additional hardware. The cable is about 3 feet long.

Umm
This would be 2 stars if I had bought the new ones - we got 4 of the refurb/open boxes, and 2 of them had visibly dented grills. One of them even broke, falling a couple feet when the seal gave in and couldn't bear the weight it was designed to bear. Almost hit a lady on the head. No joke, could have ruined us. The seal should be improved, thankfully it came with a metal loop to stop it from falling all the way to the ground , only fell 2-3 feet and the lady was not completely directly underneath it.

Great speakers
The Bass is not all it could be, but for general sound field use, it is pretty good.
