Are the internal wires in twisted pairs? Like an ethernet cable for example.

BEST ANSWER: No, not in pairs. All 4 are twisted together. It's just a standard 4-12 cable similar to an extension cord. It's stranded wire for flexibility. We love the ones we ordered, but replaced one end with banana jacks.

Haven't had it apart, so no real way to tell. I'd guess no however, simply because it would require more wire. Side note, these are nicely made and seem durable for the long haul!

I had an NL2FC cord snap. I used to to connect a large speaker to subwoofer. Would this NL4FC cable be compatible?

BEST ANSWER: It will work but in order to take full advantage of the 12/4 conductors to make an increased gauge (10 or 11 gauge equivalent???) you will need to look at the pin out of the amp and speaker input and bridge the the conductors accordingly otherwise your just utilizing 2 of the 4 available conductors. I am going to do that within the cable assembly rather than modifying the speaker and amp. Hope that makes sense.

Don?t let the weird looking Speakon connectors freak you out!

These cables are an absolute bargain! The cable is high quality, the connectors work well and I could never justify paying more! With these you get 12/4 cable for the price of everybody else?s 14/2.
