Monoprice Blackbird 4K Pro HDMI 2.0 Repeater 4K@60Hz YCbCr 4:4:4
BEST ANSWER: For the price it's worth a try. My system kept loosing signal with a 50 foot 4k rated hdmi cable (not monoprice), that supposedly had a repeater built in. This repeater works, had to put it in at the projector/tv, as it didn't help at the bluray/amp. Hope it works for you!

Is there any difference, other than the CL3/2 rating, between the Luxe and Cabernet cables?

Monoprice 4K High Speed HDMI Cable - Braided - 4K@60Hz, 18Gbps, HDR, CL3 In-Wall Rated, 40ft, Grey
Monoprice 4K High Speed HDMI Cable - 4K@60Hz, 18Gbps, HDR, CL2 In-Wall Rated, Active, 35ft, Black
BEST ANSWER: The Luxe is CL3 rated and has Zinc Alloy plated copper connectors while the Cabernet is CL2 rated and has tin plated connectors cl2 rating is all you need for HDMI use - the difference between them is CL2 is rated up to 150V before failing and CL3 is rated up to 300V before failing. Both have to pass the same fire safety rating. The real difference is the Zinc Alloy vs Tin coating. If you are going to be plugging and unplugging a bit, Zinc Alloy is the way to go. It is stronger by far than Tin. IF you are going to plug it in once and never touch it again (or super infrequently) then Tin is fine. IF there will be stress on the tips at all, Zinc Alloy is a safer choice since it is stronger and far more scratch resistant.

CL2 is rated to 150 Volts, CL3 is rated to 300 volts. I don't believe a typical HDMI connection would have voltage anywhere near 150 volts.

Have these cables actually been tested for HDR signals over all cable lengths? I am stuck with a 40 foot cable that doesn't carry the signal from my UHD player. I have since found other cables that worked.

BEST ANSWER: These cables would only support YUV color up to depth 4:2:0 so they would not work with HDR color.

Monoprice Keystone Jack HDMI Female to Female Coupler Adapter, White (No Logo)
BEST ANSWER: If I read this right you have the front of the Keystone plugged into an HDMI cable that routes to the source. Example would be a cable box. You will need another HDMI cable to go from the back side of the keystone to the target. Example is the TV. Both sides of the keystone are female so you will just need regular HDMI cables. You can think of this as just a female coupler.

Hi, why is 30ft of Monoprice Luxe Series Active 4:4:4 28g and the 40ft is 4:2:0 26g? I need 40+ft and want to have no compression which should be 4:4:4. Thx

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
This cable simply cannot support HDR color at that distance.
You would want to go with something like #14134 if you were trying to go that distance.

Are the 40ft lengths still being offered with the older chipset? I am looking for a 40ft run with the HT8181 Active Chipset Technology (Spectra7?) Looks like the 35 and 50 both offer the newer chipset.

It was defective and I didn't find out until after I ran the cable through the wall and ceiling and connected to the tv and cable box on the other side of the room. I had to buy another one locally instead of online
