The rating isn't a full 5 because I wasn't pleased at the fact that it was shorter than I expected as well as the fact that it actually plugs in upside down in my laptop. Not what I was hoping for but I can still use it so it isn't a total loss

It is exactly what I ordered and works fine.

The cables I just bought where exactly as advertised. They were all extremely well constructed and worked exactly as they were supposed to. I have never had a problem with any cables from Monoprice.

Only 4 stars because I'm using this cable in a specialized application - so I can't comment on how well it works for its intended purpose.

BUT - if you own an Xduoo XD-05 portable DAC/amp this extension cable cures the amp's one glaring hardware fault - the included M-F USB cable is junk - it fits poorly and introduces significant data dropouts - yes, they'll often correct, but the results aren't pleasant over headphones.

This cable fits well, is short enough to work with cell phones, appears to have few or no digital artifacts, and is a classically good, cheap fix for an annoying problem.

This USB extension is great. The quality is good.
