BEST ANSWER: Any banana style or spade connectors will work to terminate the ends. Or you can just insert the bare wire.

I see some conflicting info about the flexibility of this wire (especially the 12AWG). My plan is to run it in-wall, and then thru a brushed wall plate straight to my speakers. I don't intend to do anything fancy, but I might want to be able to angle it a bit from wall to speaker for my fronts. Exactly how rigid is this wire?
Also, if I trim off the external jacket, does it have a second one inside that wraps around both wires? I saw a review indicating this but it seems strange.

BEST ANSWER: I used this wire to run 12 pair of speakers in my house. Never had any problem with flexibility. However, I ran it to banana plug wall plates so that I could plug my speakers into the wall, which I recommend so that you don't have wires hanging out if you move your speakers, but primarily to give you flexibility in wire length - and gauge - to your speakers. Some of my speakers won't take 12 gauge and sometimes I must run 4 ohm speakers in series. I would never run CL2 wire straight through the wall because it limits you too much. This is where you want to consider your "flexibility." Never even considered doing that. Want to rearrange your speakers and place them farther apart and you're stuck. Overall, this is the best wire I have ever found. Each wire within the outer covering is fully insulated. Don't understand any comment about a second overall covering. Do understand the comment about using it for his motorcycle! Above all, use banana plug wall plates!!! Do not run the wire - any wire - directly through the wall to your speakers.

The wire has 2 layers of insulation, an exterior wrap and a wrap for each conductor on the interior. The wire is not rigid and is flexible as any stranded cable in my experience. It's slightly more rigid than lamp cord.

Excellent 2-conductor 12 Gauge wire
Excellent Product. I used this for a high end car audio install. I used this wire instead of the factory wires. Wired crossovers, 3-way components to each front door and also the rear panel was wired with 2-way components. Overkill, possibly but the cable sheathing is thick and will protect my install for years to come. I would definitely recommend it for car audio applications and I plan touse it in my backyard to re-wire my existing audio.

great for car audio and under carpet
this works perfect for my car audio system. I bought the 250ft spool 12 gauge wire to rewire my entire car audio system. I ran the wire thru the doors and under carpet and did what it needed to do. the wire is nice thick and hard. its flexible enough to fold and turn. its not the best in terms of flexability but i rate it 8/10 with kicker 12 gauge ofc wire being 10/10
for the price of this wire, its worth using as a kicker brand alternative. its slightly bulky because of the outer shell so it wont be completely flat. also. TIPS.... if u need to do a sharp turn with this wire. peel off the pvc jacket a lil more than normal

Do the research and pick this wire
Quality product all the way. Not a better deal out there. Read other independent testing and realize for 99% of us this IS the speaker wire to buy. Used for whole house and business studio. Totally happy
