BEST ANSWER: Yes, the 4k specifications are a statement of the cable's maximum capability, but it is fully backward compatible at lower resolutions and data transfer rates.

Yes. I had issues passing 4K through them, but they work just fine for 1080p.

BEST ANSWER: This is one of the best cable without the bulk, I installed a 43" 4k tv in my Mercedes Sprinter passenger van, I wanted a thin cable that I could install and hide and flexible to handle. You will be more than satisfied.

OLED won’t have any affect on the amount or speed of data passing through the cable so there would be no effect on quality. These have worked great with our 4K sets including HDR content.

It's an 18g cable so it is perfectly acceptable for a 4K OLED. It's also really nice how thin they are:)

In my experience, no. I had to get a different cable for DolbyVision.

When connecting these HDMI cables from TV to AVR or soundbar for ARC, which end gets plugged into the TV, and which to the audio device?
SHAH R
on Oct 2, 2022
BEST ANSWER: My understanding is that the directional aspects of active HDMI cables applies only to the video signal, not the audio signal. That being the case, for an audio-only setup with an ARC sound bar, it probably doesn't really make any difference but convention would be to attach the SOURCE end of the cable to the sound bar and the TV end to the TV. I've connected them that way and it worked fine. I had the same question when I set up my Bose sound bar and found this answer somewhere on the net. Best of luck and enjoy.

BEST ANSWER: Mine are all running mounted on the baseboards which is why I selected the slim size. They generate no heat if that is your concern. I have no special cable expertise I just wanted a thin cable to run from the receiver to the wall mounted TV.

I love Monoprice, but?..Stay Away
I love the thinness of the cable, which will make it much easier to run through the wall. Thankfully, I tested these before pulling them through. I ordered 3 of them and none of them work above 1080p. Stay away if you?re looking for 4k.

Quality Service
Bought 3 10 ft slim lines. Got all three hooked up and working. 3 days after, one of the cables would no longer carry a signal. Contacted Monoprice and they quickly replaced the non working cable. Would prefer the cables work but service after the sale is big for me

Perfect cable to take with you
Nice and thin, this cable works great for many applications. The picture quality is great in our makeshift conference room when we hookup our laptops to a 55 tv or portable projector. I also use a similar cable in hotel rooms when I want to use the tv to play movies on my iPad. Note that this cable doesnt do well when there are other cables in the run; it should only be used to directly connect a source to the tv.
