does the cover over the 3 prongs come off or retract ?

BEST ANSWER: No it does not come off or retract. Think of it the same way as you would plugging into the back of a computer.

Great for quick extension cords
These are extremely handy! I've collected about a zillion power cords from recycled PCs, and these turn them into very usable extension cords in a second. Very satisfied with the product quality - solidly built.

Just wat was needed to create extension cord
I have so many computer power cables for which I just do not have a use. This allows me to repurpose them as an extension cord. very handy and works great! Great price as well!
