is this wire rated at 2.0 to support 2160p?

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. This cable at 60ft will support 10.2Gbps speeds. Which will still give you 4K x 2K resolution, it will just be at 24Hz and not 60Hz. 50ft and shorter will support 4K @60Hz just fine.

In 2017 your staff answered a question saying this cable is only 10gbps, but now the title says 18gbps. (50/60ft)
Did you update the cable to support 4k@60hz?

Yes, these cables had different capabilities in the past but now they would pass 4k @ 60 Hz at 50' and 60'.

Hi Monoprice,
Does this mean that existing cables will be able to pass 4k @60hz in the 50ft & 60ft lengths? Or are these now updated to be able to have that capability? If the cables are updated & the older ones do not support 18gbps in the 50ft/60ft lengths, how can you tell the version the cable is to know if it supports it or not?

BEST ANSWER: i have similar cables i bought from mono in 2015 which until my amp blew up, worked perfectly. the brand i bought is no longer available
the receiving device, TV, etc - needs to have an HDMI port the is ARC aware
When your amp begins to send its audio, the receiving device is notified its audio will be coming in on hdmi
most receiving devices i know of, need to have their setup modified to put themselves in ARC awareness mode.
I hope this helps, it is how i understand things work

Great cable and good price too!
Bought this 60 foot cable to extend from my cable box in another room to a new TV. Did not want to rent another cable box! Pulled through floor and basement and hooked up to new TV. Picture is excellent! Cable performs as expected with no issues. New TV is in a cabinet with a lift and this cable is fairly fat and stiff so I hooked up a shorter 4K cable with coupling to eliminate constant bending and potential wear on the cable and HDMI port.
Would highly recommend this cable. Good price too!??

Great 60' Application
Super pleased with this cable. This is my 3rd purchase of a cable like this, but had my doubts as to how it would work at this length (60 feet). The first 2 were 40' and worked fine. I explained my application to tech support who confirmed it "should" work, so I ordered it. Works perfectly! Usual home theater set up, but the video feed (Firestick) goes into a (Monoprice) A/B splitter, so now I have two outputs. The A output goes to the theater TV, the B feed goes to our kitchen TV. Now we can watch no matter where we are in the room!

HDMI and ethernet cables.
Got 75 feet of HDMI and ethernet cables. Received them very quickly so I ordered more a few days later for another purpose. Haven't installed them yet but online reviews have been very positive.

Works great.
Works great. It's directional, so look at the labels before you run 60ft of HDMI cable through the floor backwards like me.

Right stuff, right price
Used this cable in conjunction with 75' and 50' Cabernet Ultra cables with a Monoprice 4-way splitter. Sound and picture quality is outstanding.

The cable works perfectly. I use the cable with my security dvr. It runs from my attic to my bedroom in-wall.
