I am a photographer and use this cage to be able to store all my photos on a hard drive with the ability to remove the hard drive quickly and easily in the event I need to upgrade, backup, or in an emergency where I would not be able to take my whole PC with me.

This cage offers a solid design with a good snug fit that does not vibrate when there is a hard drive installed. I have used this cage with a variety of Western Digital drives and have no problems in the 4+ years I have used it.

PROS: Hot swap bare drives, sturdy, minimal vibration.

Upgraded to this cage from the 3857 mobile rack. This cage eliminated humming caused by drive vibration when installed in the mobile rack.

This cage is built solid, mostly out of aluminium.

I will definitely be getting more of these!

PROS: Simple, solid, indicator light, key lock

CONS: Key lock is hard to use, which is a minor problem in my application.
