Why is the 12ft cable rated at 4.95Gbps, and every other cable listed is rated at 18 Gbps? Is this a mistake?

I need a long, at least 12 ft HDMI cable to connect my SMRT TV to my cable box. Which one is best?

BEST ANSWER: I have no idea "which one is best," but I've been using this one—I think for a year or more—to connect a computer to the TV for streaming and playing music. Strong, well made cable, tight connectors, no problems.

Can I remove the ferrite beads? It's exactly where I need to make a bend in the cable and I'm unable to do so.

Fantastic. I needed a straight line from my laptop to my TV/used as a monitor. In addition I have a very good Bose audio system run out of my Samsung TV. This is important as I stream YouTube guitar instructional videos and videos to "Jam along with. I can input lead guitar with the best backing tracks live through my exisitng equiptment. I want to be able to sound like I am rehearsing with the actual artist. This cable allows me to get the best audio to the TV out to the Bose support audio. This is very important. In adddition, I stream many YouTube videos. I want the best, and this cable does it.
I have never had any drop outs or less than the very best transmission with this top of the line cable. This cable is better then the commercial, in thorough the wall grade models.

BEWARE Longer lengths have large ferrite choke
Wish I knew that this cable came with a large ferrite choke on either end. I do not have enough room in my wall tunnel to fish this through. This is my first disappointing purchase with Monoprice.

I like the fact that this cable comes in 12 ft, since HDMI cables lose signal with length, and 12 ft was the minimum length needed.
