BEST ANSWER: They mount to a Single Gang box or mounting bracket. A plastic Low Voltage Mounting Bracket with adjustable bracket wings works well (inexpensive and available at home centers and online).

BEST ANSWER: This is designed for a standard US 1-gang box, approximately 57mm wide by 90mm tall. You should check local building codes, in the US, this is allowed to be installed without a fully enclosed box, as it counts as low voltage wiring (similar requirements to what is called Extra Low Voltage in the UK, I believe); you may, if allowed by local ordinances consider using this: https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=7013 as the mounting point.

How do you screw up a screw?
Everything is great except the screws that are provided. Of the first 2 packages I opened, 1 screw in each was unusable and had to be replaced. I went to the hardware store and bought a bag of screws and pitched all the ones that were provided. What an unnecessary nuisance for a 2-cent part!

Great plates!
They absolutely worked for what I needed them for, they are made of really sturdy plastic and the binding posts are sturdy. They make excellent contact with the plugs that I have.

Attractive and durable
Nice design, though removing and replacing the decorative cover to hide the mounting screws takes some doing. Sturdy, too. If only it took US-standard dual banana plugs, which I like better than singles.
