I bought this cable because all the karaoke VGA monitors go dark for 2-4 seconds. That problem is now gone. The laptop VGA output (to the distribution amplifier) has no attachment nuts--it only relies on a poor friction fit. I put a dense rubber pad under the (original) connector which applies a goodly amount of pressure upward on the pins.

This cable arrived after the problem went away. It does replace a cable ordered by mistake. It was a VGA extension cable needing a gender changer on one end.

PROS: Works fine, good price and fast delivery. As others have said this is a heavy duty cable. I needed something durable because the cable is connected to a movable ultrasound machine.
