I was using a regular patch cat5 or cat5e cable to transfer lots of GB of video files from one computer to anotherthis puppy get them done in a fraction of the time I used to use. Good investment!!

I bought these Ethernet cables to migrate some old files from my Windows PC to a new iMac. (I have not yet purchased the iMac but will do so in late December or early January. I am waiting for their new Yosemite O/S later this year). I can tell you that I have purchased other products from Monoprice.com and found them to be high quality items, and at incredibly low prices. I do a lot of research before buying, so I have read other reviews of these cables before deciding to get them. I also checked with their support team to make sure these were the right ones to do what I wanted to do. I will gladly update this review after I use the cable, but I anticipate no issues.

I bought this cable to transfer several hundred gigabytes of files from my old WinXP machine to my brand new Win7 one. Thanks to this cable and Microsoft's Easy Transfer program, I was able to get all my precious old data with very little trouble!
