BEST ANSWER: Uh, I mean. It's a direct line, so it's not WiFi but it will provide internet. A direct line is better than WiFi.

how would this cable rate for streaming? Or should I get cat 8 or will this cat 6 suffice? the only problem is I need a long running cable

BEST ANSWER: The higher the cat cable number the faster it will be. However you need a switch that will support it. Most routers/switches only have 1g ports. You can get 1g with a cat5 cable. Cat 6 should be fine.

Problem solved.

I used this cable to make a direct connection between my desktop and the router, because the thick brick walls in my home weakens my wi-fi so much that it makes video-conferences impossible. The cable fixed the problem!

This cord worked great for our "COVID19" stayathome order. The router is located downstairs, so we had to buy a long cord to hook-up a computer.

Cat6 Ethernet cables.

This product was used in a 4k, high definition security system for 6 cameras. The distance was of concern along with interference from electrical and other associated cabling. The product worked as designed and advertised. No issues. Of note was the ease in unwinding without kinks and in pulling the cables over 90 ft. distances.

This cable is a well made cable. The materials are of good quality. The price is very comparable. I would recommend this to anyone needing this type of cable. I would also recommend Monoprice. I've always bought a great product at a great price. This is why I give 5 stars to both.
