I didn't know that these would be flat - yes I see that it says Flat in the title. I just wanted a couple ethernet cables and that's what showed up. and I didn't know cat5e could be made flat so didn't occur to me to check.
They are nice in that they don't take a ton of space, but if I ever wanted to make them shorter, I'm not sure that it'd be easy to do so scared to actually try to cut/recrimp.
They also are a bit obnoxious to try to get them to coil back up.
Great Ethernet Cable! It's very thin/flat with hardly any weight and the concealed clips keep them from hooking on to any other cable and they handle better. The price is right and it came in quick. I'd buy it again! Thanks!
Seems to work well. Compared it to shielded cable and internet download and upload speeds were the same for these cables. I hope they will last; the thinness was surprising. Obviously they are not shielded so I hope there will not be much interference or cross talk.
This cable works as expected from a 14ft LAN cable. I used this at a LAN party and it worked without issue. It was also so discreet that people thought that I had some how setup a wireless access point at the event. I even had a second one to lend to another user. The cable is less tangle prone because it is flat and could be tapped nicely to the table.
PROS: Less tangle prone. Rolls up nicely with twist ties. Discreet profile. Easier to hide than a round cable.
